I’m not sure non-Americans understand what a fight it was to get this done and how much very dangerous trouble exists in the current Republican Party. It is not good! We fought very hard for this!

I agree. People who are not American don't understand the drama of the situation here in the US. It could even be enough to cost us a good Speaker! LOTS of misplaced bitterness in D.C.

Yeah, yeah, Benjamin, we know. All of us that support Ukraine, were hoping for quicker action by the US House of Representatives. As a Reagan Republican, I found their lack of resolve unconscionable. When a friend needs help, and you are able, you help them. When that friend is a growing democracy, fighting for survival against Russian terrorism, it's a no-brainer. But, help is on the way. The US Military Transport System should have the most urgently needed supplies delivered in a matter of days. I think there is a "game changer," and that is a boost to the morale of the Ukrainian people. Oh, and perhaps say goodbye to Putin's pet project, the Kerch bridge. 🇺🇦 🇺🇸

As a moderate Democrat, I’ve had plenty of differences with both the GOP as well as the left wing of my own party. What I never would have expected is for large factions of the GOP to actively cheer on Putin and the RU. The USA needs a strong and sane GOP. I hope you get your party back. But that doesn’t they say… a fish rots from the head down.

@@damonmusha6504I'm pleased to see that there are issues we agree on. The "useful idiots," (translate: Marjorie Taylor Greene), simply parrot Kremlin talking points for their personal gains. The extreme factions of both parties in the House, have prevented the current Congress from doing the nation's business. This needs to change. Without bipartisan agreement, important issues for the United States, will not be addressed. The rampant political bickering must stop. Our allies need our help. The world is on the brink of disaster. If we can stop it now, the cost in both humanity and gold will be much less than the probable cost in the future. The totalitarian regimes of the world are watching closely, looking for any weakness they can exploit. Our values and way of life are under attack.

I think in United States, we desperately need to return to far more sensible approach on both sides, supported by a lot of analysis and thinking. This seems to be lacking, probably more so on the Republican side, but the Democrats also have their fair share.

It took the people of the US to push congress to pass this. I have no doubt if we weren't writing our reps enmass it would still be up for debate. This is what Ukraine is fighting for. Their own voice in government. Not the oppression Russia has to offer.

The fact that EUROPE COMPLAINS America took a long time to pass this negates what the US did and HAS ALREADY DONE. It's like a dying man spitting on an ETS team who were late bc they were stuck in traffic, his wife refusing to go ahead and drive him to the ER herself. BE GRATEFUL TO THE US who has always helped Europe. Criticizing gives ammunition to the small percentage of fools in Congress that held the aid up. The American taxpayers have overwhelmingly supported Ukraine. Remember that.

@@johnschuring5726 I've heard the same argument used against poor Americans, especially against those who are disabled or homeless. Usually, then you'll hear accusations of "bringing it upon yourself" or something similar. That argument is just more of the "I've got mine, to H with you!" Funny is that at the same time, you'll often find that the speaker defends cutting taxes for the very rich (forgetting that they usually don't fit in that category) while complaining about "mollycoddling" poor Americans - especially minorities. All of this I've seen and heard, btw - it's that common in conservative areas.
