Conneaut Lake Park Carousel

This is the Carousel at Conneaut Lake Park located in northwestern Pennsylvania. Conneaut Lake Park opened in 1892 and the Carousel opened in 1910. Most of the original horses were removed and sold in 1989 and replaced with new models. I was told by an elderly gentleman who worked at the Park that the original horses are the ones with real horse hair. The carousel still has an operating ring machine but the Park does not use it.
