This is a great video. Can you please explain VPC connector and show how to connect cloud run via private IP to MySQL running on compute engine VM? That would be awesome. We often have a lot of things running on the VM but only want to expose an API via cloud run.

@@CloudAdvocate Yes but the use case that i am requesting will open lot of opportunities to connect serverless (CloudRun, CloudFunctions) to already running storage resources on GCE VMs like MySQL, mongodb etc etc.

Do we NOT need any JSON key from Service account and setup in container ?? i am trying to build using Spring boot and Hikari CP pool but every time the connection fails (connection refuse) to connect to GCP cloud SQL from cloud run.

No we don't need. Just make sure that the cloud service account has sql client permission. Also don't forget to enable the service.
