Higher Self Meditation is a form of aspirational energy work I do every so often. I thought I'd share it with you all.
The idea is that creating and worshipping a Deity allows you to socialize the abstractions you value, to make them more personal and relatable. Create greater accountability by imagining natural consequence as God’s judgement.
All relationships include your mental projection of a person’s characteristics and will. From a friend who asked you to come bowling with him, to a Landlord who is demanding the rent. The way you feel their will, prompting you to act is a projection of your own mind, anticipating them.
A Patron Deity is similar; It’s a projection of mind, anticipating natural consequence, but for a Value set, not an actual person. You might choose to imagine your deity as your idealized, perfect self.
