My internet source is not showing up on my Vizio I’ve tried multiple things. I’ve tried reseting router. Putting WLAN mac address for tv into access control via router website. Turning off and unplugging tv and router several times. Moving tv literally 5 feet away from router. Manually typing in SSID under the hidden network feature and nothing is working. The SSID refuses to show up on the network connection points on my tv. Does ANYONE know how to get my SSID for my wifi connection to show up and connect with my Vizio???

Same. No SSIDs show at ALL, half the network settings options are greyed out and not clickable. I've tried EVERYTHING from unplugging/holding power button for A MINUTE! ... Parental Control reset, user profile reset, Factory reset, erased internal memory ... I even bought a new VIA remote. I've been researching this for MONTHS and have found nothing that addresses our issue except a couple videos of guys removing the back of the TV and smoothing out wires ... Lol ... Yahoo's website is basically non-existent & useless. 🤔🥴😶

Have you had a chance to update the software. Mine look like yours but my tv upstairs have a newer system even the hulu and netflix apps look much better. I can't find a option to update the TV

Naeem Brown the updates happen automatically when connected to internet there isn't any options for updates unfortunately.

@Alex Peltek nvm, I got my TV to work with the Spectrum community wifi. I just need to log in on my pc and log in onto my spectrum account and manually add the TV using the IP address.

Jack Adkins you can get just a cheap universal remote at family Dollar, Walmart etc.. If your looking for original Vizio remote search for it on eBay or Amazon. should be able to get one under $10

a regular remote does not work on this tv only turns it on and off and a couple of little things you half to use their smart cast to set it up.to get everything else and you need to download that app. if you do not have infra red on your phone or tablet you cant use their app.

I'm confused about that password. Is it the password that's used on the router? Other than that, I never set up a password for the TV. Yeah, you probably think I'm stupid....and you may be correct.

Hi sir, I was struggling with this today. My t.v. kept asking me for input settings first but I have no cables coming or going from my vizio smart t.v. I didn't know I could just press the v button and do a manual setup as you have shown. I have tried most everything including a factory reset but to no avail. I have this t.v. in an airbnb so I had to give up for today. I suspect they will be calling to complain shortly. I will send them this video and hopefully it will work My one question is. Where do you put your input settings if you have nothing to input ? Is that what's screwing me up ?

+Mi Y test your wired internet connection on something else like a laptop or something else with Ethernet port to ensure the cable is working first. once you conform its working make sure in settings on tv you have wired connection selected if it does not do it automatically .

you can cast apps from your phone like youtube and Pandora to your tv, to cast Google though you need a miracast device or a Chromecast inserted into a HDMI port.

MzHazze yes if your phone has WiFi hot spot capabilities it will work. But it will eat your data up fast.

There Should be a caps/shift button on stock remote. If it does not have a keyboard on remote try this. On your smart TV when you try to connect to the wireless network. Point the cursor on the password box and press on OK button on your remote.After you press on OK button, it will show up a Virtual keyboard that you can select to type the password. Select the Arrow Up to shift for upper case and the symbol for 123.. for numbers and special characters.

There are buttons on the back of the TV. Reach behind on the left .... Vertically from the Top down on my E series:: Menu POWER Input Channel up Channel down Volume up Volume down The up/down buttons navigate your screen, the "input" button makes your selection. Some smart phones have infrared transmission abilities and you can download a Vizio remote app from your trusted app store that will work just a well as a replacement remote. And you don't need to worry about having the correct batteries!! 🤭

sounds like a router signal issue how far is TV from router? can you connect via Ethernet cable to test internet?

the security settings on your router might not be compatible with your Vizio when you search for your internet with the tv what security does it show? Also If your only 5 feet away I would suggest using a cable it provides the best possible connection.

Mine takes forever simply LOCATING wireless networks, and it never does. That arrow thing just spins and spins ... And it no longer even reports back: "no wireless networks found; connect Ethernet cable" - it just spins until I back out manually . When I first aquired this TV, it had saved connections listed (out of range of course)! Mostly cable and satellite companies entered by the original owner. . But I did a factory reset and lost them all.
