I have a use case for watermarking uploaded pdf files by non-admin-users .. so work-flow is user uploads a form with pdf attachment .. this is a pending post .. I want the administrative action of "publishing" that post to trigger the watermarking of the uploaded pdf. TIA

I've been a web dev for over 30 years and have used every possible framework out there. Why any pro web dev would use wordpress blows my mind. Its much better to build your own custom framework/CMS. Why use a framework that needs all these extra 3rd party shit? Think about it.

Because the majority of people have zero interest in developing their own CMS framework or no idea how. Like it or not, WordPress is the most used platform in the internet. Fact! 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@joekustek2623 No. The majority of WordPress users are not developers and really have no interest in becoming one. The same analogy can be used for most anything--why go to a restaurant when you can simply make a meal at home? Also, it may be that the developers have done their smaller clients a disservice by building custom systems that are not user-friendly and they then must always return to a developer for the smallest of changes. Also, there may be a cost concern. The average client is very unwilling to pay tens of thousands of dollars for a custom-coded website when I more cost-effective, capable method is available. Even proprietary, single solutions like Wix, SquareSpace and Shopify are gaining ground rapidly because of the ROI and quick deployment.

So first of all the title is wrong / clickbait, since you can't connect it to whatever you like, but only to the apps / services you integrate. As I can see, after years of requesting it you still did not manage to integrate CleverReach, the biggest newsletter service in Germany. Instead, you are stuck with klicktipp, a company that uses predator marketing and has very bad support. Second, there are no more one time purchases of your tools possible and you massivly raised the price for the ThriveSuite and reduced the number of sites you can use it for. Sorry, but with the direction you've taken in the past year, there is no way I will buy your product nor will I promote it in the future. You went from a good, customer focused company to another greedy business that uses everything it can to lure people into a subscription. Sad.

Have a check who you're addressing - I have no connection with Thrive and this is not sponsored in any way. The 'Anything' is based on the webhooks feature which lets you connect up to any service that offers a webhook. Besides, a title like Connect WordPress to some things, but not everything. Theres a lot, but not oeverything' wouldn't really have the same effect. 😜
