Simplifying in 3 main rules: 1. Linking sounds (consonant + vowel) => Catenation 2. Desappearing sounds (consonant + consonant) => Elision 3. Intruding sounds (y/w/j/ch) => Intrusion

Hi Greg, I am in Calgary-Canada. My native language is Spanish. I am trying to improve my English skills and I found the way you speak is perfect for me. There are natives who speak too quickly, and I don´t understand anything Thanks for your encouragement, I really appreciate it a lot.

I've heard the saying that getting lost is heartbreaking. But I want to negate this, that getting lost isn't always heartbreaking, and the proof is that I got lost on a productive channel. and I enjoy this

Hi Greg, thank you very much for sharing your videos, I have really known this topic for a long time before (but never found anything to help me). I realized that when I read the lyrics of some songs and listened to the song, apparently they did not pronounce many words (it is Spanish we say they eat the words, LOL), but I also assumed (that since there are contractions in the English language), that it was something similar to contractions. I am a student of the English language (self-taught, I live in IOWA, USA). I never officially studied the language (an institute or university, in my country -Peru-, they teach a terrible English, that many teachers do not even know what they teach and even less understand a Native American). Well, my study sources are KZbin and some help pages with this language. Well, thank you very much again and I hope you have a nice day (or what's left of it, LOL).

Hi Greg, thanks for the great video. I just wanted to ask about the "t" and "y" sound. Do they always change to "ch"? For example, I hear people say "but you" to "buchu". Is a role or only with some combinations of phrases?
