Are both of your characters fully grown adults? If they aren't that could be why.

@@SvartRos Hmm, I wonder why they won't connect. You do need to click the two different menu options when connecting them, so the top menu option on one device and the bottom menu option on the other device. It might also be worth trying turning them off and then back on again. I'm sorry you're having trouble with them. Hopefully they start working for you. 🥲
