With display link, you are able to push out as many displays as your particular model of the dock supports (HDMI/Display port). Note that display link is a proprietary technology and is not native. Meaning, it does not utilise the GPU on your system. Display link uses the CPU on the host computer, and utilises the bandwidth on the USB/thunderbolt port to push pixels to the connected display.
