Connecting to Trailers From Drivers POV

I watched this video when I first started and I struggled really bad, missed the king pin on my 2nd day in front of my boss, dropped a trailer on my drive tires in front of my boss, and clipped the fence in front of the owner LOL! And now I work next to my boss at my terminal, shuttling trailers and using the yard dog to move stuff around, you learn alot and what I realized is that you can connect the trailer at any angle as long as it connects to the king pin!

I’ve connected to several thousand trailers. As a yard dog and a driver. 3 things I’ll say is this: 1) Go Slow. 2) GOAL. 3) Pick a spot on your truck (I use the rear tires edge) and a spot on the trailer. Then always aim for them to be aligned. Same with not high hooking. I use the resr fender guard. If I passed it. I missed up.

Jubitz? If so that place is a mess every time I drop and hook there, you have your work cut out for ya lol especially since none of these drivers can be bothered to pick up what they sweep out or even sweep their empty out!!!
