I'M SO VERY THANKFUL I GOT TO SEE HER IN VIETNAM! I WAS IN A SECURE 🔐 AREA IN PHU CAT AIR BASE. WE GOT TO VISIT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. I GOT TO SEE HER AND BOB HOPE WHILE THERE. I HAVE "WHERE THE BOYS ARE" & I'VE ONLY WATCHED IT ABOUT 30 TIMES. I'VE ACTUALLY BEEN THERE IN LAUDERDALE. Very wonderful Connie took time to answer so many questions from her fans especially accepting a live phone call from a teacher with questions from students. It seems Ron Roberts was at lost for words calling from UK. Touching about the vet who still has Connie's autograph he received from her when she performed in Vietnam in 1967. That's great, Ken. I will look forward to hearing you again guest-hosting an upcoming "Visit with Connie." Like you, I have long had a real appreciation of her singing and stage presence. I have been a fan for decades, and thrilled to each of her many, many appearances on television in the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s. I had the opportunity to meet her twice after her concerts in the early 1980s. Her 1985 performance at the Westbury Music Fair was spectacular--she was in great voice and looked simply stunning. I also was there for her return to performing at that same venue in late 1981. That was an emotional return for her and her audience; by 1985 she was as good as she has ever been.

I've been an admirer of hers for about sixty years.Like her,I was a performer on various different instruments between 1961 and a few years ago.I transcribed some of her hits into alto and tenor saxophone features and on trumpet.I did "Time Alone Will Tell" on trumpet and "Be Anything But Be Mine" for alto saxophone.I also transcribed one track for tenor sax.It was her "Connie Francis Sings Modern Italian Hits" from 1964 and her late '50s bomb "Goody Goodbye" also a tenor sax feature which I sketched out a big band arrangement.

Connie is younger than my Mom. Mom sang and played piano and you remind me of her, Connie. I was listening to "Winter Wonderland" and your voice was better and happier than the other singers on the Christmas CD. I think the accordion helped you in your musicality with your voice. The autoharp helped me with my voice! I am inspired by you and I think listening to you will help my voice. You are not like 50,000 singers. Ministry is full of rejection as well. Maybe sometimes church is like show business!

A true survivor, a high resolution Super Audio CD of some of her hits sold out and a series of all her albums on audiophile vinyl is long overdue. One of the great injustices in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the absence of Ms. Francis. Perhaps her versatility in singing all types of music has caused some to forget that in the 1950s and early 1960s, she had many R & R hits, more than many members of the Hall of Fame. It is certainly not too late for the HOF to correct this injustice, but it will be a shame if they do not do it while she is alive to enjoy the recognition. Everyone who agrees should let them know that she richly deserves to be a member.
