From watching a few of these Connor Bedard is just a good kid. He's humble and very respectful. He's the kind of person I want to see succeed in everything he does. I hope Chicago has at least 15 years to watch this amazing talent and wonderful human being! Good Hawks!!

I kinda feel bad for him, like it must be alot to get slapped in the face with so much attention. At least he can still adjust and ease his way into it.

I believe that trade kane to rangers hawks won that trade reasons. Hawks got couple draft picks back. Kane is not in ny no more. Rangers got bounced in 1st round

It’s gonna be a long while. And I’m an insanely huge hawks fan. The team isn’t even done adding prospects/tanking yet. We have at least 2 more years of supreme failure to go through there. By year 3, I expect the offense to be cool. The defense, as much as I wanna be, i’m not sold on. In terms of when the hawks become “so good” comes down to how well our future D prospects end up becoming. Even if they are studs, they’ll need at least probly 2 years to become guys you can rely on night in and night out and in the playoffs. By year 3-5, we should be ready to be a force. However, that also means we have to make connor bedard the highest paid player in the league while we also have to give seth jones a ludicrous 9.5 million for several more years. This will force us to trade some of our young studs we developed away cuz we can’t afford them, causing a “mini-rebuild on the fly.” Once seth jones is gone, 7 years from now, and IF that mini-rebuild went well, the hawks will be a force for a very long time. Luckily Kyle Davidson is in charge so i’m confident we’ll at least get there eventually

@@Professionalcoolguyinteresting analysis 🙏 I think it does a lot what type of chemistry the team finds with each other and what belief there is in the group.. and how well players develop around each other… those are all X factors.. Hawks went from bottom five to Cup champions in three seasons in 2007-2010.. I did not expect that then but I didn’t understand the whole business and team building of hockey that well at the time.. but yeah realistically within three years they’ll at least be in playoffs contention.. that’s my take

@@stefandjurachkovitch8624 this time around is different than 07-10, but I do agree with you! Seth Jones’ contract is the only real roadblock we’ll face in the future. Otherwise I would expect us to potentially create that big window of greatness by year 3 like last time. Although about 4-7 years from now is probably our projected timeframe to start becoming really good, we definitely could still be really good by year 3 anyway…. Mainly because of kyle davidson. We are so so lucky he’s our gm. He knows how much of a hindrance Seth’s contract will be, so right now he’s doing the only thing he can do to work around that: get a ridiculous amount of prospects. Our farm system is top 3 minimum already, and we also have so many high draft picks in these next three years alone. Right now we are WAY ahead of this crucial curve and we haven’t even reached the trade deadline to add even more (we will do so each year as well). Although we will lack currency in dollars one day, we will potentially have more currency in terms of very solid prospects AND young star players than almost anyone in the league. And for a good while. We have so much potential in the future it’s not even funny, the only question is WHEN we get to dominate, not if. Even though it sucks that we’ll have to trade away some of these young guys, we’re eventually going to create a huge window of greatness anyway cuz we’ll get haul after haul for these young stars/prospects that we trade away. If we even need to. Seth Jones is simply delaying the inevitable boom era for several extra years. And, having said that, we might be amazing by year 3 anyway. Look at Florida. They got to the finals despite paying bobrovsky ten million dollars. It can certainly be done, but so much has to go right. There’s still plenty to be excited about. On top of all that, we have lots of time to chill anyway because right now is colorado’s time. We wouldn’t be able to beat colorado for at least five years anyway. After that roughly 5 year mark though, it is ON. We can buy out seth jones’ last couple years if we need to, or trade him away with 50% salary retained if we decide we wanna go all in too. It’s going to be an amazing era when we’re ready and I can’t wait. Davidson and Bedard is just too cool of a duo to not be great.
