Connor is the most 'human' character in this series. Despite his badass looks, we can see the young boy he was: torn apart by his parents who made him dependent. He is the only one who had remorse and who agreed to go to jail because he deserved it. Fortunately, there was Oliver who was there for him. Even though they didn't meet in the best way and for the wrong reasons, they managed to grow up together. And Connor thanks him at the end by telling him that he has taught him to love. By the way, the divorce scene was horrible to watch after all they had been through together. ___ (There may be some inconsistencies in what I am saying because I am not an English speaker, so please excuse me).

that is a gorgeous way to put it! and you’re right. Connor is a product of his environment, which was unhealthy and traumatic for most of his life. In fact the only time Connor was a healthy environment as a constant would be post-prison. I could write an essay about his character because there is so much to say.

@@happywalshx2998 I think he's one of the characters who suffered the most in the show (like Bonnie and AK). And his parents don't help him: his mom is always in his love life, and she uses Asher just for her fun. Without forgetting that his father is against his union with Oliver. He has to constantly lie from the police to cover up murders he never committed. I must admit that he pains me but he also made me laugh a lot and I really love him 😀

connor walsh deserved better, full stop. he was caught up in a whirlwind of crime that he never wanted to be a part of, he was struggling every day and no one even realised nor cared, apart from ollie, and their relationship was so on and off he was always hurting. im so glad he got a happy ending, and you could just tell he was the only one who felt remorse for what the group did wrong, especially when he went to prison. they were all so scared of ending up in prison, but being locked up for connor almost saved him. i love him so much omg

!! connor was dealing with so much years before he came to middleton and it only got worse for him there. he slowly came undone during his time there and in s4 you could barely even recognise him anymore. it was like he was an empty shell of what he once was. i think the best way to put it is that the writers made him the one who held everyone else’s remorse and expressed his guilt outwardly the most. i know some people who watch the show don’t like that but it makes him one of the easiest characters to root for, sympathise with and understand. he wanted nothing to do with it from day 1 and made his morals clear. i will always feel so sad for his story.

@@happywalshx2998 exactly this. i think he definitely had a difficult childhood and i even believe there were hints at emotional and physical abuse in his childhood, and i think that is what led up to his addiction to sex. connor is easily my favourite character because of like you said, how he was the only one who felt true remorse for the group's actions. i agree with you 100% about how he became a shell of what he once was, especially in the later seasons, and clearly when he admits how he didn't even care that wes was dead. i think one of the main reasons he was such a popular character was because of his emotions, he became someone who was so realistic and who was so easy to relate to and analyse. it was so heartbreaking to watch this young student come to law school to succeed and get away from his past, to transform into this guy who was always struggling with the actions of those around him. he was portrayed as this overly emotional character who lashed out at people, but i think it is definitely what made him so easy to relate to. his story is so heartbreaking but i am so pleased that he got the happy ending he deserved with ollie.

@@abby-wm1db wonderfully put. there definitely was abuse in his childhood. his dad acting so nice to his friends and then once they’re alone completely changing his attitude at the the drop of the hat seems like a massive red flag to me. not to mention, his mother priding herself on letting him ‘hook up’ with a 23 year old when he was underage. there is signs of neglect and i don’t think he’s had a single stable and caring relationship apart from oliver. we’ve heard parts of connor’s sexual history and most of it has been with men that shouldn’t have been anywhere near connor. annalise has some incredible things in scenes with him that i think highlight him perfectly. “someone so scared the only you know how to handle things is by worrying your way through them” (hint at mh issues in s1) “you’re not going to trust me, that’s just not in your nature” ( his massive trust issues). “you’re scared of actually being alone” “i know you’re paranoid and broken, haven’t trusted anyone since you were a little boy.” “you blame me for the mess that’s been in your head since the day you were born”. not to mention that he was in therapy as child. i think he suffered from depression & anxiety in his younger years & once his mother had her nervous breakdown it got significantly worse for him. during the wedding episode, his dad something to oliver along the lines of protecting connor from himself (maybe the only time i’ll agree with his dad). i feel like connor got into a lot of trouble at school and things like that. i don’t blame him. it seems like he was the one who took his mother’s side whereas his sister took her dad’s side and his mother was in a vulnerable state so he most likely had to care for her a while creating a kind of codependency. his story his very complex i wish he had more backstory. i feel bad for him too. he literally just wanted to help people and instead he got traumatised for life :(

It reminded me about Connor's dad saying that this, what he became, is not the real Connor. I guess maybe he was right at some point. 😭

Great video! Connor is my second favourite after Oliver, and he definitely had the biggest and most developed character arc in the show. Great job to Jack bringing this character to life, and also being one half the my favourite ship Coliver! :D

Jack played Connor really well. I didn't really like connor at first but the acting by Jack made me love connor so much. He is one of my favorites from this series

El mejor personaje de está serie, te deseo lo mejor de lo mejor Jack Falahe haz capturado mi corazón Hasta ahora es que logré ver how to get away whit murder me apareció en recomendaciones de Netflix y vi el primer capítulo y no pude dejar de verla hasta el final Lloré como nunca cuando a Connor fue al único que fue preso Y lloré a los gritos cuando en el final aparece junto a Oliver o por Dios me rompió el corazón se merecía un mejor final su personaje Pero hizo lo que pensó era lo mejor y recibió su premio y al final quedarse junto al amor de su vida
