8:15 - in 1965, I got a Spirograph for my birthday. I understand they may still be around. But this guy makes his own!

I wonder what effect (if any) the spirograph embossing or laser etching would have on the materials behavior during hydroforming... have you experimented with that?
@ConnorHolland6 күн бұрын
The pressure from hydroforming is a very strong force, that would be hard to effect. But it would be a good way to add decorative designs before inflating, which I'll do for a future laser video

07:03. Excellent colours here while other people don’t get as good. ? To do with the metal used? Thanks. Laurie. NZ. 😊

I get better results using brushed stainless steel, which is also clean and uniform. I did lots of tests to work out the best power settings, as even a change of 1% makes a difference

@@ConnorHolland really good stuff! Nice to see a variety of projects. I just got the 22W model and just starting off with paper craft and wood. How do you get colours to etch on stainless steel?! Different power setting per layer? Cheers!

@@randomvector78 Thank you, on 1mm thick brushed stainless I use 6000mm/min speed and 46% power for a gold colour, and 58% for blue, laser module set to precise which is 22W

Amazing work! For the stainless steel coasters, is there a reason you cut them to their final size manually instead of using the laser? I have never used one of these so I'm just curious.

It is 1mm thick stainless, and unfortunately this 40W diode laser can only cut up to 0.15mm thick

Hello do you mind sharing what settings you have used for the stainless steel. Im trying to see if i can etch on stainless steel jewelries im new to laser engraving so I still struggle with settings. By the way I have the 22w Falcon2 Pro version
