Outstanding. I used to have an old Foley system and had a company called "ReelSharp". Stayed busy all winter sharpening and rebuilding reels. A lost art!

I say it every update, truly a huge undertaking. Yes it’s cheaper than buying brand new but the man hours alone, and the money you’ve spent in parts is NOT for the faint of heart. So pumped to see this bad boy in action soon!

Hey Conner next time you cut a bolt down, thread a standard nut in all the way first then back it of after you cut the bolt. This will help correct the threads a bit.

Can't wait to see that thing up and running. You should do a nice long video of it's first use, the whole yard and have multiple angles with those gopros. Get some up close reel action, that'll be great.

I'm of the belief that if you own a machine, you should know how it works. This video is such a perfect example of why that's so critical! Try it once, learn it, and then pay someone to do it from that point forward!

Looking good. So close to being done. I wonder if the roller has oil in it for weight.
@lsjones425 жыл бұрын
My recommendation is that you look at something called one shot grease. It’s thicker but once it warms up it’s a lot like 90 weight. It doesn’t leak as bad which is why I use it on old stuff, like cars and trucks, and even my mowers

The Eastwood Company makes aerosol cans with hardener. A couple downsides though, about 25 bucks a can, and you get about 48 hours to use the whole can before the paint hardens on the inside of the can.

Hi Connor new to your channel great videos. Question my lawn was a sod lawn now I have bare spots with 1 to 3 inches that are below sod surface. I have dwarf fescue grass. It’s starting spring here and want to try to get my lawn back in shape. Could you give me some steps to get my lawn back in shape. I would like to get it built up to level it with my driveway, sidewalks and walkways. I’m in the Silicon Valley of California. Do I fill it with sand first to bring it to level then seed the bear spots or backfill with dirt, seed it wait for grass growth then cover it with sand to level. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ted
@lawnrebel5 жыл бұрын
I would use soil to fill in the low spots and then reseed the bare areas. Keep working at it and it will come in time. You may be able to level it out using sand at a later date. Just focus on getting all the bare areas filled in right now.

Maintenance is crazy expensive on anything made for golf courses. Luckily I have my club mechanic who does maintenance on my GM1000 for a bottle of scotch. Even the height adjustments are tricky. I cut at .156 of an inch on my green and it's tricky keeping it true.

@heinzkitzvelvet5 жыл бұрын
You might want to consider going to harbor freight and getting an electric hoist for lifting that heavy stuff from the floor to the bench and back down again. 440lb. hoist is $99.99 and they ALWAYS have 20% off coupons available. That's what I'm using to lift my Honda mower up onto my bench to service it. It's too heavy and cumbersome and I'm getting too old to destroy my back lifting it up and down. Plus, it has a 20lb stripe kit attached to it. So a hoist is a necessity.

Which rattle can did you use? Ok this is how you do it..... Use rust-oleum 2X ultra coverage primer. Then go over it with 2X ultra coverage paint + primer. Takes a long time to cure but when it does it's durable as hell. Remember Curing is different than drying.
