Thanks for taking us along, and thanks for showing me that excellent dash board - the speed was educational to me - interesting that most of the time on dirt, a bike with nice highway behavior may not be necessary - and may be clumsy - you handle yours nicely enough! PS you mentioned a risk of your side stand sinking in to soft ground: carrying a little unbreakable plastic plate (in a tank bag) is good, and leaving it in first gear, reduced the embarrassing messes for me; and if you're necessarily pointed down hill and need to clear the track, or open a gate, I learned the hard way to wrap some shock cord around the front brake handle, (gently). But that involved bikes you wouldn't want to ride into Brisbane. Thanks for the tour!

Thanks 😊 good tip about the front brake. I’m waiting for my larger foot for the side stand but yes I keep meaning to carry something to stick under in the interim.

Subbed, I need to find some of these dirt roads in the vicinity of Brisbane, I'm about to build my first ADV style bike. Been riding road bikes since 1979...

Nice! There’s a lot to choose from in SEQ. National parks that allow 4WD are a good start point.
