Every gladiator has his soft spot, love, motivation, and vulnerability. I watched this over and over again and his posture, facial expression, voice, and eyes tell it all. He has done all that he's done and achieve the goals of his dreams due to the unconditional love for his FAMILY. Colby Covington was like that most of his career and it got him nothing. Only when he started talking shit was he accepted by UFC and pushed into main event scene. I like the realness, but that just not what the masses want to see, people want cinematic performances and egotistical behavior so they can judge it.

he definitely was trying to hold back tears, because i literally do the same thing he was doing during the reporter's question. gritting his teeth, moving his tongue around, trying to smile through it, nodding and bouncing his head up and down, moving his eyes around more because hopefully anything you can do will stop you from showing your softer side. of course that's not a bad thing, but in the biz he's in, it sure is most of the time. you gotta be the baddest, strongest, most terrifying fighter or at least way up there and he knew that. no one will take a softie seriously unless they are an animal in the octagon. i'm no UFC fan, but i have been getting into it a lot recently and just going through all of conor's past fights and interviews made me like him a lot because of the character he showed, but this video showed more character than anything he has ever done when it comes to UFC in my opinion he's a class act playing the villain to care for his family. that's all that matters, as long as he hasn't done horrible things to get it, he is a class act
