McGregor has a lot of respect for Ariel. Ariel was giving him airtime on his show way back when he was starting out in UFC and has a lot to do with the exposure McGregor got back then. He even did a special interview where he followed McGregor around Ireland.

Now imagine this. In the build up to a Floyd Vs Conor MMA fight: There is no footage on Floyd in MMA for Conor to study. Floyd's stance and movements are different to anyone in MMA. Floyd has dropped all his boxing training to learn MMA. How ridiculous would it be if these were the arguments being made for Floyd beating Conor in MMA? Why is it any less ridiculous for a Conor fans to use the reverse of these arguments for Conor beating Floyd in boxing?

Alex Mallinson imagine a decathlete who took over the decathlon game and he excelled extremely above the rest in one particular aspect of the decathlon and took on a 40 year old legend from that specific sport in a race . imagine the 40 year old trying to compete in a decathlon. except it's a combat sport. McGregor could win.

Alex Mallinson because mma is mma. you can't learn such a vast sport in any short amount of time. no-one is saying he wins in a standard boxing match. Floyd is the better boxer clearly, one of the best ever... but if McGregor lands a left hand we all know it can change the game. in mma Floyd wouldn't be able to get into striking range because of the kicks. and McGregor would look like a BJJ superstar Vs Floyd.

I swear I can't stand McGregor during press conferences, but he always comes across as such a cool/funny/real dude in interviews. I don't know what to believe anymore.
