Those remake songs they did, ARE PURE FIRE. I just came across them a few weeks ago, and good lord. Saved my life. This dude always saves my life, till it gets so broken and EFFED up again, then hopefully he drops something new n gives me a reason to stick around. TY CONOR for being real dude, you could have phoned ANY of your records in, and u didn't. Tim doesn't either, new Cursive record is FIRE too. STICK AROUND CONOR. Dont u effing ever leave us. GDIT.

Haven't listened to all of this yet, but really enjoying so far. Do want to say that I was at the Digital Ash show in Providence and it was great. I loved all of it and so did my husband. Definitely an under-appreciated record at the time.

I knew I'd eventually get this one posted but I had to go in and manually sync up the audio and video every like 15 seconds because the connection was so brutal. Not perfect but not too bad! Thanks Jayme!

It's so cool, and fitting, that Oberst started off making these DIY lo=fi recordings in his music, but only recently has the opportunity come to kind of match this in his interviews with the access to internet content levelling the playing field. He is better suited to a podcast nterview than any kind of music article sin the past could do justice to, well done. And also, fair play to Connor for doing it, because your "lo=fi" setup is so in line with the album formats he created. Writing about birds is cool.

I love that too. I chose to believe it was poetic that both of us had such horrendous connection. Honestly the only reason it's legible at all is that we both hit record on our iPhones and set them on the table so that the audio was captures separately without the connectivity issues. Anyways thanks and LO FI FOR LIFE.

it feels oddly vindicative to hear conor say mcr is a great band, as someone who's been an obsessive fan of both for so long. maybe phoebe bridgers helped him come around? i remember gerard (singer in mcr) calling conor oberst one of his favourite songwriters some 15 years ago, so I think the respect is mutual :D great interview, thanks for putting it out there!

This interview was great. I wish I never watched it. I think it can be detrimental to what makes music special to me when I think about it too deeply for too long. It’s like seeing behind the curtain. I’m gonna go drink away this memory now.

The next man I have sex with is going to not only enjoy Bright Eyes, but he can understand Bright Eyes and doesn't have to ask anyone else to create meaning for him, lyrics or otherwise. And he's going to be 44 and we'll get each other's references, and he's going to enjoy traveling, and we're going to talk with our minds. And this is my intention. God, I hope it works!!!

I'm probably supposed to ask before I remix your videos but I meant it to be helpful. I had to backup/redo everything recently and I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not a jerk, if that is exploitative or something 🤔. I only started posting things a couple months ago. You can block me ♥️
