These videos are incredibly valuable, coming from and engineer, manufacturer and wannabe designer. Please keep making them and documenting the processes. Thank you!

Hey Michael. Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. Delighted that you are getting some value out of the videos. I’ve got a bunch more lined up for this chair series and also the multi-use, wood bending series. Let me know if you want me to cover anything in more detail. Thanks for watching!

@@ConorCoghlan something I see in my day job and across the KZbin maker community is the lack of designing for manufacturability. That's a detailed process I think you are well qualified to speak on based on the click furniture system. Keep up the great work. If you need any employees let me know where to apply.

Curious to see what solution you come up with for the fixings and assembly, as its got to be quick and easy for the customer, but also really strong

Hey Connor! You’re absolutely right. We are super pleased with how the overall chair design is progressing but as you pointed the hardware is going to crucial. My initial thought for the chair was a series of buttons that would enable the user to clip the seat and backrest on. We are now looking at a combo of a t-slot and button. Hoping to cover this in the next video. As always thank you for watching! Be sure to let me know if you have any ideas.

@@ConorCoghlan Buttons sound good, ideally one big one that you press with one hand leaving your other hand free to pull the two pieces apart. Its difficult with multiple connection points though

@@ConnorHolland The way I'm thinking about it right now is two buttons and two keyhole slots - kind of a slide a press motion. Testing it out as we speak!

Amazing to see your processes! I feel like showing the creative process is tricky so it's great to see!

Hey, did you also cut the slots in the chair legs for the plates on the cnc, or did you have to create some kind of jig to router them.
