Drummers During Battle - I’ve watched this vid I don’t know how many times but caught it here for the first time- The brothers DID edit you guys together! Extremely well, too! There’s the transition of Samantha @ 11:06 rolling a fill in the chorus, slam cut to David continuing … BUT ITS ALL LINED UP. Down to head height, body/kit position and framing It’s only really used in that final face-to-face finale… and I had to rewind a few times to see how purposeful it was (conclusion- 100% conceived and achieved ) and a few more times out of respect to that tiny yet impactful editing decision. Then literally 20sec later you guys are talking about trying to figure that out. Pascal gotchu, bro xD

So i had the opportunity to be one of the 150 people in the Background. It was so much fun and i met some really cool people. Also after the Video shoot i had the song stuck in my head till the releaseday. :D i'm verry happy to get to knew your band cause your music ist pretty nice. I think what most of the people mean by "why didn't Kevin scream?" ist mend to be a whole Vers. At first i was a bit sad after I found out that Janel screams too so it could be a nice part together but it would not fit good in the song. So i'm glad there is no big shoutpart. I’ve enjoyed some of your heavier stuff, but this video made me do a double take when Kia started singing; and, since you have watched reaction videos, you will understand what I’m about to say. I heard the influence from Avril Lavigne in her voice and it immediately made me smile ear to ear as my eyes opened wide. It is the same feeling many get when they hear Niklas from Orbit Culture sing for the first time and they start looking around asking “Where’s James Hetfield?” Getting influence from and giving respect to the giants who have come before while doing your own thing can be such a beautiful thing, and you did it perfectly. I like your heavy stuff but, as you perfectly out it, you channeling your inner Avril made my day. Considering that they have not done more than one collab with any artist yet, i don't have a lot of hope for another song. We recorded separately in the states and they recorded separately in Germany. We both used the same Steven Slate microphone, by pure coincidence. It was mixed and mastered by their guitarist Daniel Haniß.

If you were in Wuppertal did you get to go on the Schwebebahn the unique hanging monorail system It is an interesting experience. Engels of Marx and Engels was born and grew up in Barmen which is part of Wuppertal and his family's factory (yes he was very rich) is now the Museum for Early Industrialisation and the family house is a museum. I enjoyed the song FCKBOI which I encountered via EC I know you and EC both were in a 2000s vibe but for me, being an oldie, the vibe was of an earlier time seeing bands like Green Day in a pub in Southampton with 100 others in the early 1990s. That pop-punk sound though far higher quality producing LOL

Thank you for sharing with us! One question, though: In the recording (and well, also in live performance later on), how did you do the both bands playing / overlay? Do really both bands play syncronized? That must be a tough one, isn't it?

During a music video shoot, they are hearing the same audio as you, blasted over PA speakers, louder than the drums. The guitar amps etc. are off. Everyone is basically "lip/hand-syncing" and performing to playback - you don't hear any audio from the shoot. I don't know the specifics of this particular production, but usually, in a modern studio recording, tracks are done one instrument after another, starting with drums playing to a click track and probably demo recordings. Judging from the EC-typical sound, I assume all instruments were recorded by EC, and CD added their vocals later, probably even in a different studio. Drums and bass only make sense to record once, anyway. (Motown recordings sometimes had two drummers, but that's very niche.) Could be wrong, but that would be the obvious way to do it. (And JTBC: Both bands are great musicians, and they could probably pull off playing together - it just wasn't needed.)

Here's what Conquer Divide don't seem to realise...alot of people are being newly exposed to them through that dope feature. People are loving the band because of the feature, now they're rushing to react to the band itself and explore its music. Problem is, majority of those people were impressed by the POP-PUNK type of sound Conquer Divide was featured on, coz it obviously brought them back to Blink182, Avril Lavigne and Paramore type of feel... only to hear a whole different sound from the band. Now this ain't nothing bad by the way, but at this point, if I were part of the band I'd honestly recommend them to tap-in on the POP-PUNK genre. Not change their style but two or three tracks to be POP-PUNK every once in a while. Y'all honestly should consider this... y'all sound even more better, as you always are, but now with a touch of POP-PUNK/EMO/Screamo. And if you decide not to, I still love your sound guys...been a fan literally for years!!!💪🎵🎸

Listen to what their fans are saying about the band doing something different and trying out POP-PUNK for a change. Be attentive to the reactions and you'll hear what I'm talking about for real. Alot of their fans are saying the same thing that this time around Callboy tried a different style(POP-PUNK) and it's a fresh sound to what they're used to.
