I am a momentum scalper, and I tend to take quicker trades using the 15 second chart for directional guidance. I video my trading sessions, so I will compare my results to using the 30 second OTF to see if I can hold my trades longer. Thanks for sharing!

Just the OTF alone will increase your reward vs risk rate 2 to 1 or more ... Nice yeah sometimes I will use the 15s if the volatility is high.

Pullbacks/retracements are a part of trading. In my current prop firm, drawdown is figured on the account balance, not simply pullbacks. And the only "drawdown" is if the trade loses. If you win the trade, even if it was during a pullback, you're not penalized for it. The important thing is to know the rules of the prop firm before you go in, and then work within those rules.

Very wise words. Some have trailing drawdown and others like the one your referring to have balance based drawdown not equity. Most futures prop firms are going to have some sort of trailing drawdown some put it in the daily loss limit. All of not most actually. They re phrase it and add on a scaling rule, And overall drawdown. Now They have two new extra edges putting them in the advantage for sure. But to each their own. We are all different . Me personally I don't think trailing drawdown is a bad thing I'd Take it over a daily loss limit and an overall loss limit and scaling because once you get to the live account the trailing drawdown stops that you're starting balance but the daily loss limit and the scaling rule will continue in the balanced based

Glad to hear it. My whole goal was to be the exact opposite of them when I started trading I went through the same issue. Thats Why most of my early content is 100 percent actionable trading strategies because I hated that about the gurus they would never give you the actual strategy. Hello. How can I implement this on 5m chart? I have difficulty seeing charts less than 5m. Take profits are 40-60 pts with SL 20-40 pts. Trailing drawdowns are getting me all the time.

You could but the problem is it depends on what product you're trading because something like ES and probably maybe but if you're trading in q for example the 5-minute candles are going to be 30 to 50 points depending on the day of course So if you think about your trailing drawdown being what $2,500 let's say and then you have one candle that is going to knock out half of your total trailing drawdown that means you can really only lose two trades so therefore that's why I dropped down is to allow for candles to be five five points or less preferably but you could do it on the 5 minute I'm just saying like it might not help you very much
