Very good advices, I'm also struggling a bit around sharp corners, my instructor couldn't explain when is the best time to fully commit to the turn, can't wait to test this on the road :)

You will find 95% of instructors are only interested in their pockets and pass rate. They are only taught how to make you pass a test, not in how to drive. In rare exceptions like here you get someone that cares that little bit more, and makes this fine are a little bit more enjoyable. Now if we can get everyone to drive in a little less hurry the roads would improve 10 fold

God bless you. You have no idea how much you've helped me learn. I live in Pakistan, about 5200 miles from where you are. I've struggled to learn how to drive smoothly for weeks and your videos have helped me drive a million times better in two days. No instructor where I live and no one even on KZbin, delves into all the nuances that annoy a learner or scare them or make them panic quite like you do. I now have a solution for almost every problem I've encountered during my learning period. I would like to make a request, if I may. I've seen your videos on reverse parking, but I wanna ask you to make a video or a series on reverse driving. Reverse driving still intimidates me. I find it hard staying in the middle of the lane while reversing and not hitting the sidewalk when going or turning backwards. In this video you've explained how to turn around a tight corner when driving forwards splendidly (i.e. make sure you can see a considerable amount of empty space through your side window before turning), but how can one judge trying to REVERSE around such a tight corner so as not to hit the corner or the bend? Again, thanks from the other side of the world. You're a gem. Keep it up.

I passed my test on the first try with 0 faults. But that didn't mean I can drive. In real life without all the poles or cones indicating when to turn and stuff, I'd have no clue on how to gauge things accurately My biggest fear is doing things that end up hurting myself, or worse, other people as well, especially those with children. I'm in Malaysia and DAYUMN these people drive so recklessly. Doesn't help that we're given turns that are too close together and often have to change two lanes within 300 meters after entering that short road. Your videos have helped me tremendously with being more comfortable on the road and developing habits/thought processes required to be a good driver who understands that I simply borrow a small space on a shared road Thank you, sir! I only wish you wellness

this is a very good video.. applicable in lots of countries and places with narrow streets.. sometimes the lanes can be narrow that you can't take out car in one go. In that case, what I do sometimes is go wide as you have suggested and try to aim short of opposite corner across where you risk B pillar. Then turn wheel back in opposite direction, come back a bit and then forward again and it goes through.

I though I was going slow (beginner's mistake). The best lesson I learned is if you are turning on narrow road when you're on a manual just work on the clutch and breaks. Don't do much gas until you're cleared. So you can break at least if you made a wrong calculation.
