as soon as i saw that texture i started to panic. I was so glad when he brought the spray painter or otherwise would be exhausted from painting that wall 😩

Jason Fryer man as someone who has painted 2 murals in her life, you always tend to underestimate work and how the tools are gonna behave against the texture of the walls. You always learn something new and then later on are like "yeah I was stupid and could have done x instead". I now know by this video what to do with a wall like this.

@@dianalondono5599 I've painted a couple myself and the brick one didn't have half the depth of that impasto styled wall ...it was hell anyways 🤨.if idve had air on hand, man idve slapped those quick- connects together and been spraying in short order, but you're essentially right...it's kind of like working on an automobile, ..lol...just when you climb under it all ready to go....crap‼️...everything's metric Lol😬🥴

My favorite part about this drawing is the women's face with the flowers on top, like that looks so realistic and fantastic at the same time. That lion i feel like is of the best one's if not the best you have done. By far one of my fav mural's

No idea why I got recommended this, but so glad I did. This guy is unreal. Absolutely amazing to see it come together. Up close it just looks like a load of random spray lines, like a kid had been let loose with his first can, then you step back to see it is shading and texture and the true beauty is revealed. To draw this would be hard enough, but to visualise it and then paint it with so many different colours and on such a scale it truly outstanding. You have earned yourself a subscriber. Probably going to get lost in the comments, but I'm actually the fedex driver for Camden and have been for almost 8 years now. I pick up that dropbox behind the bank at 5 every night, and I just want to thank you for such a beautiful mural to look at every day. One of your videos was randomly recommended to me and I recognized the name so I went searching until I found this one. I also remember seeing you working on it all throughout the day hoping you were getting plenty of water. South Arkansas summers are no joke, it's the kind of heat that just sticks to you. I'm glad you also showed some of the other artwork and community aspects of Camden. They still do those community gatherings the first Friday of every month in the summer, and while it makes the Dropbox hard to get to, it's definitely beautiful seeing the entire town get together and enjoy each other's company.

Painting a large outdoor wall is one heck of a difficult process - Kiptoe is a very dedicated talented person 1:04 that mural is amazing

Mural has some awesome elements, and the client seemed super cool. I love that you were able to add art to the downtown. It's a real asset to a community. I do think that when art is so prominent, messaging is really important. Along those lines, I'm not a huge fan of the whole war theme. Yes, with Lockheed in the area, all those people are working together to create technology that a single one of them couldn't alone... and yes, they are supporting their families and building a local economy while doing that... but what this mural represents, to me, is "working together" to create a force of death/destruction. I get that, from the perspective of an artist, this was an awesome gig... large commissioned mural in a downtown space... I get that. I kind of wish you at least acknowledged the messaging of it. You're such a positive dude, and this is really not a positive message.

Fred Kennedy - Thanks for your feedback. I’m not sure what to say. I will be taking it into deeper consideration moving forward. Working with clients is always tricky balance. But it’s up to me as the artist to have the final message. The side with the eagle was the community building message of the piece, but the other side does kind of get taken over by the missiles. I had these thoughts going through it but was encouraged by the large chunk of the local community that is supported and employed by Lockheed. Kiptoe painting big mural with lot of spray paint and brush on white shirt and it's still pretty clean and white. Me drawing over my book with crayon on my white shirt.. my shirt is pretty multicolored now.
