Nathan - you don’t actually even need to tame the niobium volcano, just a tungsten volcano. This is because 5 kg niobium + 85 kg tungsten = 100 kg thermium, but 100 kg thermium can be turned into 100 kg of niobium inside the metal refinery, meaning that you have infinite niobium as long as you have tamed a tungsten volcano

Interesting. Can I use my usual design for a tungsten volcano? I ended up taking the niobium one just to try out something else design wise.

@@Nathans-Sandbox I’m not sure about the tungsten volcano, you’d have to check the temperatures at which it comes out. I do know it probably won’t work with the niobium volcano, since it erupts at nearly 3000 C, enough to turn magma into rock gas, and you probably won’t have enough space, time, or materials for a proper cooling loop.

For Niobium, I've always liked a magma pump type setup. Let it erupt onto airflow tiles, and pump it into a steam room (through a flow regulated valve so it can't phase change in the pipes). I do look forward to seeing your approach to it.

I think for my current game of multiple Dupes, I'm going to create a dedicated life support rocket that uses a Hydra styled oxygen maker. Hopefully I can also squeeze in a Atmo suit forge and maybe a hydrogen generator so that it is a self contained system.

i have an idea, in minecraft you have skyblock... mabe in oni you can make it something like that but with rocket? Mable, really long rocket with only mini biomes in living areas? And you need to move around on tubes between floors?
