On one of the DVD extras, they talked about her in that role. They said that most beautiful women would never sacrifice their beauty for the sake of pulling off a gag as far as it could go. That's why there are so few really successful, attractive women comediennes. But she was one of the ones that is attractive and classy, but would go all in to make a bit work--and this scene was one of those on the show.
