I’ve never made a Jelly Roll Race Quilt but have seen them made by friends. Always a riot of colour! When you explained how you were going to add in the extra 2”” orphans, then 3.5”, then 6.5” etc I just couldn’t imagine what the finished quilt top would look like. And you had a whole pile of finished ones! Absolutely brilliant idea and so successful. Looking forward to a slide show of all the other finished Orphan Tops you have made. You must be exhausted! I wasn't a fan of the simple jelly roll race quilts but the method of working in various size pre-made blocks is truly inspiring and turned out beautifully❣️ All I need to do is start using leaders & enders to make blocks in the sizes to go along with my 2.5" strips. It will take a while to collect enough for your style of jelly roll race quilt but I love it! Thanks for the inspiration. I look forward to seeing your slide show from all the UFO's you have sewn. I didn't like the look of my Jelly Roll Race Quilt top; so, I cheated and took apart part of it and resewed it back together differently. I still didn't like it. But, I quilted it; and, I gave it to project Linus. However, your method is a whole different game. I have got to try this. All of your quilt tops are beautiful, colorful, and very interesting.
