Having them together just makes sense. It almost makes the viewers feel like Nic is still a part of their lives for them to wind up together. They both know that loss like no one else. They both loved her. Billie is the only right choice for Conrad.

It’s how they communicate with their eyes too, you can see they love each other, even without words sometimes you can see their feelings, the way they look at each other. It is a better love story to him & Nic i think anyway, it’s not all based on sex and not just physical, well that’s just my opinion, I prefer Conrad and Billie. Watching them fall in love with each other the is beautiful, special, their emotional connection and intimacy is something else and their chemistry on every level is intense. Billie is so selfless and always put Conrad and GiGi first before her own feelings and a Conrad was just scared to love like that again because he couldn’t cope with loosing someone he loved liked that again, but they got their in the end. ❤ They’ve both changed since loosing Nic and that brought them closer together and the bond they have is untouchable. And GiGi adores Billie which was a huge plus for Conrad. I think Nic would give her blessing. Billie deserves all the happiness in the world and Conrad treats her like a queen and will show her exactly what she deserves int the right way. ❤

I remember feeling the tension & chemistry between these 2. Their acting was so good that I felt like I had been watching them interact for a long time on this show but it had only been 1 episode. I remember when they were arguing in front of Nic and although Conrad is her husband & we all know how much they love each other, her facial expression was like okay okay guys chill out or go get a room my gosh I don't want to hear this. That was a very defining moment that has come back to me while watching the current season & latest episode. It's going to be interesting to see what will happen moving forward between these 2. Cause @ one point I thought Billie & AJ would eventually hook up considering how she confided in him regarding her rape & just how they naturally were getting close. Plus he seem to had taken some of a mentor role for her son Trevor. But A.J. knew she loved Conrad & he handled that very maturely. I also think that was very cool what he said to the guy that liked Billie. He didn't have to look out for his heart like that. No one can replace Nic. But I sense the chemistry between these from the first episode, first scene together.

Yes I loved their chemistry from the start, don't get me wrong I loved Nic and their relationship but I think that if Nic wasn't in the picture they would have gotten together a long time ago but at the same time I think the writers wanted to develop their story of which is going very nicely 😁

The connection Conrad and Nic had was so natural and special, it was just there, you know. I just don't feel that he has that connection with either Billie or Cade, and I don't think either of them are right for him. But it's inevitable that Conrad and Billie are going to be together. 😞

@@LostinFilm Yes, I agree with that. And, if I may add, also drawn by love for the same person. It's a bi-fold story line you don't see often. It's usually one or the other. The grieving widow falls for the deceased spouse's friend, or in this case the once enemies become lovers & friends, but not in that order. Fortunately, The Resident decided to do them both. It makes an all too familiar story line when told independently more interesting & entertaining when combined.

@@CRobb-ql4zp totally agree, it's more interesting this way,oh Lord, Conrad was fighting his feelings, running away from them I guess he got tired of running and just embraced them and I still believe that he was afraid of falling in love again and I get that he wouldn't want to go through what he went through with Nic's death but his main fear was that if he fell in love again he might love that person as much as he loved Nic if not more and Billie is the person to stir that kind of love and that makes him feel guilty too
