Why you close the plant in Romania?

Dear @strohingenieur7101, this decision is the result of a strategic review of the sunliquid plant. Clariant acquired the sunliquid technology in 2011 and after successfully proving the technology in its demonstration plant in Straubing, it decided to invest in further scale up by establishing its own first-of-its kind industrial scale plant. The plant began producing in the second quarter of 2022, but it eventually became clear that it did not achieve Clariant’s targeted yields and other operational parameters on an industrial scale. Clariant thus started the strategic evaluation in July 2023, and it has now concluded that, given continued losses, the economics of the plant in Podari cannot justify for Clariant to continue ramp up which would require significant additional capital expenditure.
