I did not know that SD80mac appeared first in Conrail merger colors, I always thought the SD80mac never wore a Conrail Blue... Groundbreaking!

Yes all SD80MAC's were originally from Conrail. When Conrail was split between NS and CSX, the SD80MAC's were split between the 2 railroads as well. A few years ago NS made a trade with CSX to acquire their SD80MAC's and they would give them some SD40-2's. This past February, NS sold all 29 of the SD80MAC's to CP and Progress Rail. The locomotives that went to CP were part of the SD70ACu rebuild program. The units that went to Progress Rail was because of PSR.
