I grew up on the Big 4 Dow line here in Anderson Indiana which was the line from Anderson to Elkhart yards in Elkhart Indiana and saw the the change from NYC to PC to Conrail, that line ran a ton of Freight from unit Coal trains, Unit Grain Trains, TOFC, Merchandise Trains and Stack Trains every 24 hours, man I miss Big Blue!!!!

Outstanding stuff - really nailed the OCS in the spring of '88! Also, a great call by his kid at 27:57 to film the Guilford meet across the flat cars!

I live in Nisbet, had to watch this again because I didn't know where Carson's Crossing was..............Then I figured they must have been refering to the crossing to get into the field across Rt 654 from Sam Carson's house. Us locals never refered to it as that which confused me. They did used to do recrews there, I assume the train was heading north on the Buffalo? South bound would be blocking crossings in Nisbet.

Me and my special needs son watch this at night even though I already seen them, but he really enjoys them as well. I just noticed watching it again that when the OCS was at Jersey Shore there seemed to be some photographer tension. It made me laugh because I was so busy watching the train the first time I missed it. What was going on there?

😂 there definitely was some tension. Even good friends can get on each others nerves when the adrenaline of train chasing kicks in

@@andybrouse1237 Of topic question, is your father still alive? If he is, is he impressed with views these are getting?

This was likely the OCS run that decided the fate of the Corning Secondary as a through route (they killed it)

Wish it was still operating between Geneva and Lyons
