I played at Harrah's in AC a few years back at the same game for 50 hours straight. Won 1650$ at 1-2 NL, bought in only once for 200$. I think i broke the record for continuously being in the same seat.

I can't even keep focus for an hour game. After 30-45 mins, I start doing stupid things, and almost subconsciously sabotage myself out of boredom? But, at least now I'm aware of it, so I guess that's the first step to overcoming it 😊

HEY! I RESERVED THIS SUNSET A WEEK AGO! GO PHOTOGRAPH SOMEWHERE ELSE! Ugh, I can't do mid-day naps at all. Not only does it usually take me at least a half hour to fall asleep, but when I wake up I feel like absolute garbage. It's just how I'm put together. Can't do fats either. I tried that last year. My cholesterol ended up around 250, with a not-good HDL ratio. Fortunately I'm not really into refined sugar anway, and I can vouch for how satisfying fats are: I really was eating less overall when I made sure I got lots of fat because I just didn't feel the need. But you don't want to end up on statins either.

Alec I have enjoyed your videos for a while. One thing you said in a video about exercising was if your not sweating in the first five min stop and start over. Thats been the best advice for me. Thanks and I will try to stop calling my self a fucking idiot when I mess up a hand lol

This is one of your best videos. This will have a bigger impact on a poker player's winrate than anything related to specific poker strategy because it's life +ev "Don't eat sugar and eat lighter meals" is gold.

Alec could you do a video on staking in poker and how alot of "pros" got started that way from one of their buddy who won big in a tourney or built a big bank roll?

I paused to say, thanks for talking fast and getting to the point; I'm the same way. It's hard for me to pay attention when someone slow rolls a topic, if you can relate. Thanks for the content also 🙏

those big macau games, and bigger games in general . would u take a stab having only 10 buyins? 20?

With a bankroll in the $2-5 million range, why would you risk losing a big chunk of that? Especially if you built that much up from playing smaller games? Just seems greedy and reckless to me.

Yep, the body is designed to have 2 4hr naps. Which is hard to do. So try to take a 10-15 min nap. If you are unable to take a full 1-2hrs sleep

If we're having a practical discussion here among adults.... Do a gram or so of coke. At least a few bumps. If you're going to lose out on a lot of money quitting the game, it makes sense. If you can't control yourself then the kids game is down the street.
