Honestly, the geothermal stations transmitting their messages from different parts of the world really makes this scene more intense and distressing. While you and your team attempt the impossible task of shooting down the cruise missiles to prevent extreme damages, Magadan’s geothermal plants poured so much coolant into their cordium supplies so there wouldn’t be an eruption which ballooned in Prospero, causing more eruptions, except in Magadan, to occur around the Ring of Fire. All while K-9 were taking down Faust, the cruise missiles were already heading towards Magadan and blowing up Prospero and Crimson 1 begun his insanity by directing it to the world because his aim is ass

I remember the dread I felt when I heard Galaxy shout ALCON three times, and the sheer panic in his voice. And the music just added to the dread. I remember chasing a missile, and just as my missile was about to hit it, my screen went orange, and I saw a crater form, just as the music changed. That’s when I realized what was happening, and I desperately tried to stop every missile I could. But when I heard the guy talking about seeing the ground forces turn to dust, and the geological monitoring stations from BOTH sides talking about what was happening, I gave up. I couldn’t stop enough of the missiles and I knew it. What I love about Project Wingman is that NONE of the major events happen in a cutscene, which would make you detached from what is going on. It happens as you are in the battle, and it doesn’t pull any punches. Plus the music always makes it fun, even when I am doing poorly. love this game and its music.

Can you imagine just how Galaxy had to feel at that moment? The battle almost won, him probably doing a kill recount for Hitman and coming up with a few jokes about how Monarch is carrying or something. And then, in one of his screens. In just one instant. Death. The coming of the Apocalypse. He was the one that saw the proverbial four (thousand) horsemen, bringing about the final days. He realized in a moment what he was seeing and what it meant. He must have felt like an oracle watching the end of the world in a vision. He KNEW it wouldn't help, but he still would do anything in order to fight back against said vision. Friendlies, enemy, military, mercenary or civilian. Whoever or whatever can help, do it. Now. NOW. Or else the entire world is doomed.
@thekingzhaul5914 Жыл бұрын
What makes consequences of power so shocking and impactful is that Monarch/Player was hyped up as "unbeatable" and is at this point where not even the best planes or skills can stop whats incoming. This is Project Wingman's _Canon event,_ and theres nothing Monarch can do to stop it. Can you imagine how he, as a character, must have felt after he saw the missiles hit and then the volcano blow up? His dread for his friends and sicario, his shock at the desperation of the federation, his guilt for not being good enough to stop them and among dozens other emotions running wild on his head as he process what just happend? Man, good thing he still has Prez, Galaxy, Mic and Dip with him, because I'm sure he would had gone mad like Crimson 1 in his grief.

@masoncarothers65155 ай бұрын
At the end of the day, you have to remember, the Federation itself didn’t launch these warheads. Crimson 1 took out every commander that said no until one said yes. The destruction of Prospero is SOLEY because of him. Once those warheads hit, all the Federation could do was continue fighting, until their total loss at Presidia. Which then Crimson 1 nuked, violating the ceasefire. And because Crimson 1 was shot down at the end of Kings, the Federation can’t hide behind the excuse that “Crimson 1 was acting on his own interests.” While he was still flying Federation military insignia and using Federation comms. In the end, Crimson 1 is responsible for the downfall of the Federation.

@@CrystalKingdomGeneral4942 Fair point, but my point still stands that Crystal Kingdom or even Federation High Command did not authorize the nuclear devastation of Prospero. If they did, what would be the point of surrendering at Presidia and signing a ceasefire? At that point, Cascadia can utterly ruin the Federation politically, even IF Crimson one doesn’t nuke Presidia in his projective crusade against Monarch. And if you wanted to bring Faust and her actions against Magadan up, keep in mind, she went AWOL on live military channels. At that point, Cascadia was retreating from Magadan as it was a losing fight. But I will add this here as an addendum that the Federation pretty much declared No Quarter on the Cascadian landing force. To summarize, Crimson Squadron (Including their CO) and Faust were AWOL. The difference being, the Federation likely looked the other way, thinking they could find someway to win the war and maybe, just maybe sweep the thing under the rug and charge Crimson Squadron for their likely numerous war crimes as a way to save face. But they lost miserably, and faced with outright defeat at Presidia, they draw up a ceasefire. But then Crimson 1 goes full on psycho, going AWOL with the experimental aircraft frame PW.MK1 and destroying Presidia, all to kill one mute mercenary and his anime girl WSO, in the biggest projection of blame you could ever feasibly imagine.
