I have had 3 (so called) service tech pros work on my machine in an attempt to get it working correctly.They have collectively spent more than 3 days working on it, they all have installed new parts and I still have most of the same issues I started with. I was at my wits end until I found your videos. I preformed all of the alignment step you detailed in both of your videos and my machine now runs great!! I can not thank you enough for your time, the in-depth details you provided and your vocabulary skills in your explanations. Your videos are by far the best I have ever found. Thank you!!!

You're truly a lifesaver! somehow my machine got jammed up and the bobbin area got jacked up. I'm a newbie to this machine so when this happened I pancaked to think about $$ to have someone fix it. Folks online said it would be an easy fix but I found a way to mess it up even further. After 1 1/2 months and several times having to walk away from the fix, your video clicked and it's running like butter! Thank you so so so much!

Love ❣️ this video! I have a Chandler 406RB-1 and cannot believe the lack of support content for that specific machine. I was relieved find out this Consew machine was literally the same flippin unit. At first I didn't believe it, but after watching this, I indeed struggle to find a difference between the two. You might add (Chandler 406RB-1) to your video description, so related searches would include your wonderfully helpful content. Your video is truly a Godsend, as I am embarking on a career change with my first born child only six months old, and will be relying on this machine to provide for my family. Fantastic video, many thanks for taking the time to post it. I was able to get my 206RB up and running perfectly using your information. There was some differences in adjustment locations but your video was so well detailed that I was able to figure it out. As a note to others who might be adjusting an older Consew 206RB there doesn't appear to be an easy way to adjust the "forward/ reverse stitch length balance on these early machines.

Terrific video, great advice & instructions. Just bought a 206RB-4 and it was working ok...but I followed your instructions since I broke a couple of needles testing on webbing. You are 100% right- don't assume the machine is correct from the previous owner. Not only were some adjustments out, the thread release lever was in the drawer! Not sure how it worked without it, but it did. After all the adjustments and the installation of the thread release lever the machine is smoother, quieter, and seems to stop with the needle up more often- in short, it was running but not nearly as good as now. Thanks for taking the time to help others.

I just bought a Consew 206RBL-18 in June 2022. Straight out of the box everything was out of whack, plus reverse didn't even work. I used your videos to set the machine up. However, a month later, the machine still has issues. I can set the stitch length at 5mm and within 50-100 stitches it will be down to 4mm and declining. It will not stay at a stitch length, any of them, period. Do you, or anyone else here, know how to fix this or is there an issue with the machine itself? Otherwise, you videos were great and EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you for producing and posting them.

Another idea, why not use a 3.5mm allen wrench (or other size as appropriate) to gauge the presser feet lift. Check how much clearance there is on the outside foot, then, using the same allen wrench, check the inside foot at it's highest and see if there is the same amount of clearance, then adjust, as necessary, and measure again until they feel the same. I think it would be faster and more accurate than trying to eyeball the measurement from above and to the side. Still, I learned a lot from the video and tuned up my own 206rb-5 along with it. Never has it been clearer or more well explained and demonstrated. Thanks! Now, on to Part 2. I can't wait to see the improvement.

Basically, when I lowered the lifting foot, there was a slight gap between the lifting foot band the material. Needless to say, I just started loosening screws and moving things around and completely screwed up the machine. I now know what to do. However, it seems my lifting lever and the knee lift seem to “Stick” a bit. Meaning, the lifting foot gets stuck in the up position when sewing of after manually raising it. Ideas?

In your great videos you state that there is usually an oiling wick located behind the face plate in the area of the vibrating presser bar and needle bar. You indicated that this wick is present on some machines but missing on others. You also stated that you would show how to install/replace this wick later in the video(s). Unfortunately I could not located this instruction. My machine appears to have had one but had been "ripped out." I would like to know how to replace this wick. I bought my machine a month ago, made one jean jacket with it and decided it needed some work. It had several issue that you identified but the biggest issue is still unresolved. The binding of the vibrating foot against the feed dog. Both feet rise 3.5 mm when working and I took the vibrating foot tension knob off and it is difficult to cycle the machine. the butterfly nut on back is just above the center arc. Is there an adjustment for how far down the foot tries to go? Or am I just missing the concept of the adjustments.

@2004mikea4 жыл бұрын
The “Needle Bar Height” adjustment portion starts around 28:45. You stated the “needle bar is down and will not move” ... not sure exactly what that means. Follow the instructions in the video. If, after following the instructions in the video ... to include loosening the pinch screw that holds the needle bar in position ... the needle bar is still stuck - you may need to tap it lightly with a non-metallic hammer to break it free. There is only 1 screw that keeps it tight ... so loosening it should allow you to adjust the needle bar

Great video,I have 4 different models of needle feed sewing machines. Being different they all feel the same way sewing. I purchased a new in box conesew 206rb-5 that I purchased head only. From day 1 I didn't like the way it was sewing. The vibrating pressure was hammering down on the needle plate, the feeding was jerky. Being new I though what a piece sh&%* this is. I stumbled on to your video and read the introduction. So I watched it and looked at how my machine was adjusted. I was looking for that one way out of wack adjustment or two. I didn't find anything that was alarming. There weren't any adjustments that were spot on either, everything could have been adjusted to closer tolerances. So I went back to step one and adjusted every adjustment to where it was spot on. I did noticed the the closer I got towards the of the adjustments the hand wheel was getting easier to turn and all the jerkiness disappeared. When I finished with all the adjustments, just turning the hand wheel by hand it felt like a completely different machine. When the moment came to actually sew something, I was spectacle, I didn't expect much and I was thinking I made things worst. Wrong!!!!! Its a dream to sew with and now I noticed the other 4 machines need to be tweaked in. Now I have a singer 112W40, when the pickup arm starts it upward movement to start making a stitch, the thread hasn't cleared the bobbing case. I also noticed that the needle timing with the feed dog is way out of wack. When the feed dog starts its rearward movement the needle is at the bottom of its stroke. Is the timing of the needle with feed dog the same on all needle feeds?
