@@im0781 20+20+20+20+20=100 As there is 20% and 100 is summation of 20, so we took diff as 20 Sale is 100% means 5times of 20 so 1/5*100=20 Cost is 80% means 4times of 20 so 1/4*80=20 Alternative u can go as C + P = S 80 +20 = 100 80=200(cost given) then 100= 200/80*100=250 (250-200; SP-CP)where Rs.50 is loading This is what I have understood

Manoj of Noida consigned to Kiran of Jaipur goods to be sold at invoice price which represents 125% of cost. Kiran is entitled to a commission of 10% on sales at invoice price and 25% of any excess realised over invoice price. The expenses on freight and insurance incurred by Manoj were Rs.15,000. The account sales received by Manoj shows that Kiran has effected sales amounting to Rs.1,50,000 in respect of 75% of the consignment. His selling expenses to be reimbursed were Rs.12,000. 10% of consignment goods of the value of Rs. 18,750 were destroyed in fire at the Jaipur godown, Kiran remitted the balance in favour of Manoj.

Modi textiles, Delhi consigned to Vinod Enterprises, Calcutta 100 cotton bales. The invoice price of each bale was Rs 1,500 each which includes 20% profit on invoice price. The consignor paid Rs. 2,500 for insurance and Rs 4,000 for carriage and freight. The consignee received cotton bales and sold 75 bales for cash and realised Rs 1, 12, 500. He incurred Rs 1,800 on godown rent and was allowed 10% commission on sales. 5 cotton bales were spoiled in godown and they are to be valued at 50% depreciation. Dear sir , why the first entry is missing I.e goods sent on consignment a/c Dr , To purchases A/c Because from where the value comes in to goods sent on consignment A/c and from where stock reduces from our go down, I.e from purchases a/c only know .
