Why is vat collected by FIRS?

It is payable by company that deal in variable goods and services. The company would have included the vat on the price of the product.It incidence is on the final consumers of the product

Please some clarity. When you were computing cost of collection , you took 7% Port levy separately as belonging to CRF. However, when you prepared amount to be credited to the CRF , you did not take it as revenue, neither did you take it in the Federation Government Account as revenue. Please clarify. Is port levy a Federation Account revenue to be shared or strictly Federal Government Account revenue?

You were told the Olakoma custom service is entitled to 7% cost collection. So it is not CRF revenue non federation account revenue. Do the amount goes to the custom

It is the cost of collection to be paid to an entity . Do, it goes to the entity to which it is paid. It is not CRF revenue non federation account revenue
