Now I'm excited to buy this book! I often suffer from "impostor syndrome" when working with spirits because my experiences are subtle and require a lot of focus rather than getting vivid hallucinations and poltergeists.

I think I have his book on protection. In terms of this book, I think consorting is the right term. I prefer convocation. Or simply cooperation. I never liked the concept of evocation where you put a spirit in a triangle, point a sword at them and command them to do things. Would you do that to a friend? Someone you are trying to befriend? There are spirits out there that want to work with you for no other reason but that it helps them on their evolution. We all have ancestor spirits who want to help and the angels. And like you mentioned nature spirits, if you are on the side of nature. I enjoyed your review and I look forward to more.

This is fantastic! Thankyou for sharing this - I cant wait to see what insights he has. I personally work with spirits almost as much as I work with my Tulpas, and I treat them as virtually the same class of being. I think the respect and humility put into consorting with spirits is something a lot of people don't seem to grasp as a concept, and I usually just avoid explaining some of my "weirder" activities more transparently because they're just in another place, mentally. Hopefully we can see more things like Jason's Q&A, as well as his writings overall, to shed some of the stigma and confusion abound on the topic.

I've always naturally managed to somehow communicate/feel/see spirits. It's SCARY lol. I did a big effort to not believe in it anymore and that helped calm the experiences but I now feel like something is missing, like I'm cut off from some of myself. Entertaining the idea of trying again, just don't want surprises in my home like last time. Luckily they didn't do anything, but like, waking up to your mom screaming because of the man standing beside her bed almost every night, and the weird shadow that randomly walks along the hall is just...you know, creepy and very unexpected. Seeing your friends semi transparent face in the air the moment they hung themselves in real life cities away, and all the dreams about the person who passed in a fire that is understandably upset about it, are just not the most fun types of dreams to have. It's hard to ignore all those very real experiences, but it's also a pretty nice vacation deciding not to believe in it, because they happen much much less.

When you're talking about being able to sort of key into which spirit is which- which energy is interacting with you (& I'm sorry if this is a silly or too-rudimentary or already-covered-elsewhere-that-i-missed question), do you *feel* who they are? Like it took me a kind of embarrassingly long time to realize that not everyone feels other people- other alive human beings, I mean...well, and sometimes the dead but I wasn't sure if I was nuts with that or not & it wasn't a SUPER common experience...(like who ppl ARE, I mean: unique identifying energy that does not change- auras, I guess, from what I read way, way far into my life)- but with spirit work in this craft, is it common for practitioners to just feel the identity of the entity? I can't imagine doing this without that sense (I mean I'm betting there's a way I just can't imagine not feeling the essence or whatever of the people & things I'm interacting with). Does this book go into that at all? I guess the term would maybe be ? (It's like a separate sense that seems like, for me at least, it's wired through the limbic / emotional system at least partially- but it's like way, way more complex & specific than regular day-to-day emotions that we have words for & I can only describe it in like figurative language bc it's like every single creature & most things have their own specific way that they feel). I'm sorry if that's rambling & I hope this makes sense...as you can probably tell I'm kind of lost re: putting words to what so far has been a very solitary, subjective experience but I really want to understand it better & 1. I'm not sure where to start & 2. I feel like this would be a huge part of interacting with entities you can't easily sense with the standard human senses that everyone sorta agrees that we all have, you know? Like if I couldn't feel exactly who was hovering around me, I don't know how I would even know they were there.

Is Consorting with spirits a book for a fairly new witch?
@LorenzoDCara832 жыл бұрын
Hi Olivia, I just love your channel, you have helped me realize a lot of things I've never thought of while being a practitioner. I have a question about Spirits, a few. Sometimes, I hear muffled voices like a conversation back and forth, and other times I think I'm hearing static, like when you don't turn off an old tv and you get a static sound. Is this normal? What does that mean, I am not afraid, just feel weird for asking. Thanks. Cara

Pre-ordered this and I am reading it as I can. This is a topic that I am expanding my work in, but I am doing so with as much discernment as possible. I know my ancestors strongly and I know Hecate when she speaks. I often times find that what I am looking for is something I have already found, but disregaurded it because that spirit was not what or the way I thought it 'should' be. Even local spirits, I have a real relationship with, but thought somehow it was supposed to be more grandious than it turns out to be. Jason's book is helping me place value in the relationships I already have with spirit and see them as greater allies than I gave them credit for in my practice.

I always find it entertaining when someone writes a book or does a video about say spirit of Demons or things like that when they really dont have experience with it maybe they have seen a ghost or maybe they brought home an object that has some residual energy on it that isnt agreeing with someone or something in the home and they think its a haunting. Iget it when we have something like this happen in our lie for the first time it can be frightening, I have lived with such things most of my life, decades, I sense, feel, hear, and in half-awake states see spirits and I have only been around a few Possible Demon type energy and believe me you know when you are but it is very rare. spirits need to be treated like you would treat a stranger or a friend there are so many different types and personalities some can be a little aggressive and put in their place. I am curious of this book and what is said. most things nowadays are all Woo woo or there so much religious ways put on them that it mostly gets lost in what is really happening. I did like it when you went to your friend Annies place and pretty much brought a gun to a mild argument or disagreement and dealt with it hehe but that is an example of when someone has never had experience ( not referring to you ) and is afraid so asks for help which is always the best thing to do as long as the helper is actually helpful like you were with Annie, to me just going by what Annie said I figured that it was mostly something attached to the piece of furniture that didn't like something like the way of living in the home so they watched and made things uncomfortable for everyone living in the home. but I am going way off the topic of the book hehe there is a person on here that has a 50minute interview with the writer of this book explaining the book but I don't want to post the link with out permission so I wont
