Slight correction 6 Lexington class battlecruisers were laid down which were: Lexington,Constellation, Saratoga, Ranger, Constitution and United States. However due to the Washington naval treaty they had to be cancelled however they were allowed to convert 2 of them into carriers while the rest would be scrapped, the Japanese did the same with their Amagi class. Lexington and Saratoga would become carriers and as far as I know the name Ranger was the only one from these ships to be later given to a different carrier(CV-4) of the WW2 era.

Yeah the USS Lexington and the USS Saratoga were converted because they were the furthest along in the ship categories of construction that or the shipyards building them had greater political clout sadly it is one of those casualties of the treaty era if I had been running the show I've been calling the shots I would have scrapped every previous vessel and retained my more recent shifts until the other powers they could go pound sand but other opinions prevailed

First time watcher. A nice video overall. The spreadsheets were nice, though it would be helpful to have them up longer vs just flashing them. I almost missed them at first and had to pause many times. LOLS about each time a carrier dies at the 5:55 mark. Thats epic. As a dd main I DESPISE carriers. Nice comparing to the atlantico. With that comparison it was an easy choice as I HATE slow ships.

Thanks for the feedback! I figure some don't care about the charts so I try not to occlude their view for too long. I do always hope tho, that people pause and look at them, as there is a lot of great info there

I bought her and I must say as someone who has almost every ship in the game this ship is one of the strongest ships in the game by far! I will be so happy when I see them on my side counters DD‘s extremely hard the ship is versatile with her high speed I speak for most players when I say I can’t stand seeing BBs at the back of the map damage farming, screaming at other players about how terrible they are for not moving up. Also, if you are at the end of the match and you’re the last one alive you have a real ability to hunt down a destroyer if that is the last ship left overall she is extremely worth it by far my favorite American battleship

@@jaydylan1639 Plymouth is a really good ship as well. The difference is, she’s not a battleship. If someone sees you in Plymouth odds are you’re gonna be sunk real quick she gets hit in the citadel far too easily for my taste constellation does not have super thick armor, but she can stand up to any cruiser in the game and has the ability to fight battleships if you angle properly both are really good ships if played correctly

Of course its not a battleship, it’s a hydrodynamic metal vessel capable of shooting metal at other hydrodynamic metal vessels. Some of the metal it shoots is also hydrodynamic. Along with that, the metal grid on top is an advanced metal detector. It also can launch a flying metal from it’s metal catapult.

Will the constellation is a battle cruiser not a battleship as she is depicted in World of Warships as originally the Lexington class were supposed to be precursors to what would become the concept to the fast Battleship had constellation in her siblings been completed as battlecruisers they would have been as effective as any other or big gun capital ship she could make metal bleed though in World of Warships

I've always been a fan of battle cruisers. I just bought the constellation per your review. And I have to say I really like this ship, it may very well be my favorite. Same ship upgrades as on your video, however, I have Dewey as Commander. 39.2 2. Knots. Inspirations, Guepratte and Frasier. No-Fly zone, look at me now, velocious, steer clear, 14.3 rudder , 12.3 concealment, if you like battle cruisers this ship is recommended.

Constellation looks like a great mid range support ship. I think in a division with a Massachusetts or Missouri would work so well with helping to tank hits or radaring destroyers. I think I will pick up the Constellation today. She is one thicc ship!

yeah i have no regrets buying atlantico early even now i have her secondaries at a solid 12.2 km but i still bough the mighty constellation as i was purely waiting for her to come in legends fair seas derka cheers

This ship is the love child of Champagne and Missouri, she did take from Grandma Colorado but its not that bad, i wouldn't have shiped them but the result is damn good to say the least Though i feel like a kinda historical ship like this one should have come earlier, more so when you see all those Russian/German ships getting here every 2 days

Great purchase and my current favorite ship, and a surprisingly good money maker! I play it aggressive, pushing and bullying cruisers and DDs. The last round I played I took part in taking out a Congress, lowa and iwami, very satisfying

Hi Derka! Nice video as always! So sorry but i noticed the AP DPM for Gascogne is the last one on your chart. That's not right or is it? Her pre-buff AP DPM was 190400 (11900 AP alpha, 30 sec base reload) and with the buff it's now 222857 (13000 AP alpha, 28 sec base reload). She has 8 guns, did you counted only 6 guns to get the 142k? By the way, this is just me picking around. Keep up the good work! o7 PS: WG will make their budget for the next 2 years within 3 weeks selling this ship. 😅

Very carefully my friend. Go to your ship, go to your modules section, click on the module. Click remove, it's costs 250 doubloons to do so. DO NOT SELL IT!!! Just read everything really slowly to be sure

Why didn't you shoot the Atlântico to try and reset the middle cap? She now can go up to 12,4km in SB range... I agree with the builds and this ship having more carry potential, but at the end of the day, i think i'll still rather take the mighty Mo out instead. It already has good AA so go with the AA mod 2??? Normally on big ships i go with 20% longer range on secondary. Also i thought this was classified as heavy cruiser and not battleship 🤷‍♂️ but then i guess the graff being fast battleship is essentially heavy cruiser

USS Constellation was built but never finished, then got refitted into the Lexington Class Aircraft Carriers, which is in game as well!
