The Constitution of India is a very unique document. If you look at the preamble to the Constitution, it says We the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India.
So when we say the Constitution of India, we see it as a story. It's a process. It's a continuing story of the constitution of a new India.
In the second episode of Terms of Engagement, we speak to Former Director, National Judicial Academy G. Mohan Gopal. He was the founder Chair of the National Court Management Systems Committee of the Supreme Court of India. Prof. Gopal is former Director (Vice-Chancellor) of the National Law School of India, Bengaluru. He continues to work actively on current judicial and legal issues and reform of legal and judicial institutions.
Mohan Gopal explains the discussion centres on the Indian Constitution's significance and its role in shaping the nation's trajectory, particularly in relation to social justice and representation.

Professor Gopal, one of the most brilliant minds. Thank you for clarifying, in such fine detail the architect of the constitution. Baba Ambedkar is not only to be saluted but shashtang pranam to him. The constitution has to be upheld with all its might. The ideology has come from the western ideology but been construed to perfection around all angles of a very diverse social structure. However, this is the exact message of the Geeta. From now on I hope an anendment in the constitution can be brought, that any polilitician with an aspiration of becoming the PM must make a statutory declaration that he will adhere to the principal of equality, liberty, freternity and dignity of all humans and living beings. And will not seek to make any amendments to the chore principle values. Videos of discussions by the eminent lawyer Mr Sibal ,renowned economists discussions on policies and politics and discussions by eminent professors of law and economics etc must be included in an additional educational curriculum at high school level . I hope now India bans all propoganda and fake news channels and focuses continuously on educational contents. The common man is so intimidated by dictates of authorities to safeguard their livelihood that, they can not freely develop the confidence to express themselves. And until the rights to equality, liberty, freternity and dignity can become a living example we have yet a few mile stones to achieve . Let us move together to make india a country of thriving people and not a dictatorship.

Many are asking who is the Architect of the Indian Constitution. Some say Baba Saheb Ambedkar some are saying Pandit Nehru, others the say Constitution Assembly, but then who is the Architect? The Chief Architect of the Constitution of India is the The Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland through the Government of India Act 1935 was an Act passed by the British Parliament that originally received Royal Assent in August 1935. The Constitution of India is a fantastic job of Copy & Paste and to Enhance its Flavours it is Spiced with Additional Articles were Borrowed from the Constitutions of USA, Canada, Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Soviet Union, South Africa, Japan and Australia.

What is the meaning of Samhita in the Vedic corpus? Samhita is "put-to-gather." Many Vedic-Sanskrit texts, traditions, and rituals are ideas and practices assimilated from everywhere. What is copy-paste? Ideology of RSS - copied from Germany and Japan

@adarsh8731 The Rig Veda is an old and small part of the Vedic-Sanskrit corpus. Which is why I specifically used Vedic-Sanskrit corpus. Humans everywhere have always learned from each other - so do people in the Vedic period. One may appreciate the commitment to learn and carry it forward - even when writing was not invented. But to think all of the Vedic-Sanskrit corpora are self-made in isolation doesn't make sense. This video talks about the need for representative democracy and the falsehood in EWS. Yes, it clearly shows the clarity in this thinking.

Indian Constitution or law in general is Common Sense, one doesn't need to be rocket scientist or a topper to read and interpret law. An average person can shine in the field of law. Benegal Narasimha Rao who cracked ICS - ( Cambridge pass out, topper from school and college ) , drafted the Constitution ( even Dr Ambedkar had amitted to the contribition of Rao, and Rao who was smarter than Ambedkar, respected Ambedkar too). But unfortunately, no one recognised Rao ( similar issue in India now- intelligent IAS officers do the work, politicians and judges heading the committee gets the credit )
