Mains answer: Please check mam 🙏🙏. Constituent assembly was a temporary body which was comstitued according to the cabinet mission plan 1946.it was made to prepare the comprehensive Constitution of our country. This body acted both as legislature as well as executive. It depends upon the functtions performed by it. It worked as legislature when it drafts the outline of the Constitution by proper discussion and deliberation. Proper laws and rules were framed by the members . It also acted as executive when it performs the role of implementing the drafted rules and laws. Constitution was adopted on 26 nov 1949 and it was finally inaugurated on 26 jan 1950. To conclude we can say that after independence as comstituent assembly acted as parliament so its role are more inclined to legislature than the executive.
