@@Ironvalleylarry Yes, foundation crew from this company didn't push any wheelbarrows. 🤔 yes, those dogs keep an eye on everything. Not sure how it will go when they are pouring floors. We don't need too many doggy footprints in the concrete,🥴

Awesome video today!, Things are moving now for sure..... with what they already have done your going to be busy keeping us all in the loop. looking at where they are putting the Robot Room, do you have room for future expansion?, I can't wait to see how things are about to change for all of you as every video on other farms that took the leap of faith in Lely seem to be very happy and a lot of them expand their operations not long after. As always Thank You for bringing us along on your journeys......

@@allendavidson6608 yes we have kept expansion in mind. As long as we put the drain in for another robot the rest won't be too hard to do with that. The barn can be lengthened if necessary. I know I will have to be on my toes to keep up with the videos now that they are going again. Thanks for following our progress!

@@allendavidson6608 My son and my husband watch quite a bit of farming stuff. I'm not sure if we have watched a transition but we have seen them being used. We also have several farmers we know around here that have gone with Lely. That is where we saw and liked the idea of a composting pack, as well. My son's lifelong friend works for Lely and our nutritionist is recommended to farmers going with Lely. Hopefully we are well taken care of. When it comes down to it though, we are the ones who have to do the daily work.

@@HollcanaFarm Howdy!, Here is one of the dairy farm families that moved to Lely .... search KZbin for this " Fresh Air Farmer " You may like watching his playlist called " Cow Palace " which is similar to the journey your operation is on..... I enjoyed watching it as they transitioned. He originally was touring a bunch of farms and one was a Lely Robotic Dairy before they made the decision to go to a Lely operation.....

We were invited just last week to visit the lely testcenter were they milk about 120 cows and i can tell you some innovations are comming anyways things moving along on youre part thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer

@@ronaldfeuerstein435 Yes, it feels like things will start to really move now. That dog is a character and a half! If those guys tried to come in the house he wouldn't be that friendly but he seems to know they are working and that makes them ok. He keeps an eye on everything, that's for sure!

Will this be a 3 row barn with one robot? How many cows?

@@rk3739 Actually, we are having a compost pack with no stalls. We hope to increase up to 60 cows from the 50 we milk now. We will also have a pen for close up cows and dry cows on concrete with straw pack.

@@HollcanaFarm why the increase in cows? Won’t you be able to milk same number of cows and ship even more quota with this new barn?

Why are putting concrete in them walls

@@danielglaus2064 These walls are made to be poured full of concrete and then this will be the finished walls. It's not solid enough without concrete. We were recommended this kind of wall because we will be running a cold barn.
