This extra small scale is so cute! I don’t drive an excavator but I sometimes work with them: I call the wheels ‘tracks’, and occasionally people do take the buckets off and face them the other way to dig the other angle!

Oh really! That’s awesome to know thanks 😁

As a model train geek, I love it when crafters tackle model train scales. There's a tendency within the hobby to use the same old techniques all the time. When someone who's not into the hobby approaches the same concepts, they come up with different solutions and it's always interesting. This diorama looks great and it has so much charm.

The excavator is a tracked vehicle, rather than a wheeled vehicle. Track system like in a tank. A track system is where the vehicle makes its own road so it can travel over rough terrain. Simple but clever! 😁 Really enjoy your videos - thank you for sharing. 😊💝

Starting a town build series with a construction site diorama is very good. Excited to see where this goes!

You make it seem so easy! I can't imaging building something so tiny. It was fascinating to watch! I am looking forward to the houses. I never saw a village built "bit by bit' before. ("bit by bit": poor attempt at mini pun!!!) LOL

Algorithm sent me, glad it did. Love the chill tone and awesome work! Watching you work was a weird experience... I'd be focused on the excavator and then realize your fingers were like a third of my monitor! The work is so small, I probably couldn't see it in real life!

Very nicely done.I really like the excavator. I've been wanting to build one of the trucks that I work on for a while, and you're making this idea look easy.
@missminilifeАй бұрын
You should! It was definitely a lot easier to make this really small than if it were larger which was actually surprising.
@armymenaroundthehouseАй бұрын
@@missminilife oh I'll be aiming for larger. About 1:35 or 1:24 scale, to match the figures I'll be sculpting. Ideally I want to show a certain kind of malfunction.

I love how you made the treads

Really nicely done! It's no small feat building and excavator from scratch! Great video!

I have a n scale engine and track, how cute it would be to display it with this diorama. Great job.

SO SMALL 🦐 I've suffered all day with a group of friends, painting 28mm scale miniatures. It was great fun, but so hard. Seeing you do this is really inspiring 🎉❤

What an excellent build. I love that you scratch built the excavator as well as the trees. as a couple of other posts mentioned, those type of "wheels" are referred to as tracks whether on construction equipment or military vehicles.

It's very simple but it's so relaxing to look at and to see you build it- looking forward to more dioramas! (also, I called them treads like on a tank)

Those are its Tracks! 😃 That is such a beautiful piece!!! Excellent work! I worked around those out in the field for a long time, and seeing equipment by itself surrounded by Nature is always kinda surreal. And buckets are backwards for things sometimes, and do pop on and off to change really easily, so ye did it very accurately there! 😄
@lindacsmith13Ай бұрын
OMG - I never would have noticed the bucket was backwards!

Wow! Your work is amazing! Just discovered your channel. Have you ever considered getting into model trains? You would love that hobby, because it involves so much stuff like this!
