Can Egypt actually afford this?
@YousefHurf
@YousefHurf 3 ай бұрын
Yes, Egypt can bear all of this and more. Most of what has been built in Egypt, especially in the New Administrative Capital, is public investment. This means that investors can be obtained to build Egypt with skyscrapers, without affecting the general economy.

If they cannot, why they will build even more cities, which will have 3-4 million citizens. 👍🕊️ GOD bless Egypt!

Amazing video ! Would love to have explanations about it’s sustainability, because from afar it looks like a car city, I think I ve seen a lot of 20th century American suburbs like style, and everything looks compartmented, like offices with offices, houses with houses etc. But I guess everything must be walkable somehow, would love to know more !

1. Brasília, Brazil: built in the 1950s to serve as the new capital of Brazil 2.Putrajaya, Malaysia: Developed in the 1990s to serve as the administrative capital of Malaysia. 3.Songdo, South Korea: A smart city built on reclaimed land, Songdo is part of the Incheon Free Economic Zone. 4.Masdar City, UAE: An ambitious project in Abu Dhabi, began in 2006. 5.Sejong City, South Korea: Established to reduce congestion in Seoul, Sejong City serves as the administrative capital of South Korea. 6. Navi Mumbai, India: Developed in the 1970s to decongest Mumbai, Navi Mumbai is one of the largest planned townships in the world, not to mention new delhi in 1911. 7. Shenzhen, China: Transformed from a small fishing village into a major metropolis in just a few decades. these are just a few examples. its not an inherently bad idea it provided tens of thousands of jobs for locals it stimulated the economy (till covid then nothing could work anymore) but its picking back up. the entire project became an independent institution within the government paying taxes to it. it became basically a private company but with majority shares to governments. it attracted foreign investors to buy real-estate in Egypt which Egypt desperately need as we have a trade deficit forcing us to be in a constant state of high inflation. the project will work but not going to be suddenly it will be eventual as more and more people could afford to move in its going to take at least a couple of decades to have a third of its max population of 6 million

@@arvelle4 yeah they are in no rush because what is the point of fully opening it when most tourists wont come cause of the conflicts surrounding Egypt and the threat of regional conflict/war with Ethiopia. there was many projects for the suez canal that focuses on servicing vessels to generate more money but it was delayed cause of the Houthis attacks dropping the number of ships drastically. instead of spending more money now then again later when revenues actually starts they are delaying the unnecessary projects. there was many projects for the suez canal that focuses on servicing vessels to generate more money but it was delayed cause of the Houthis attacks dropping the number of ships drastically. but most developmental and residential and industrial projects are on schedule cause they focus internally and Egyptians aren't going anywhere but things that focus on tourism could wait for now while we use the dollars to reinforce crumbling sectors in the economy that need that money more.
