Whenever I hear green-horns from this region disparaging Uhuru Government with the guidance of Ruto sidekicks, I sincerely pity them. The number of roads on the drawing board and under construction is staggering. We are to see the whole Kiambu region transformed into a sprawling metro area in the next few years. But I guess you can't fix stupid!

The thing is he should do it allover the country. Mombasa being a port city needs a superb infrastructure even more than Nairobi as Mombasa doesn't serve Kenya only but Uganda, Rwanda, DRC,Burundi and even TZ at times. Kisumu as well as Nakuru needs improved roads and highways.

@@afro-centric2653 Ah, thanks. That's sort of what I thought was going on. It's cool to see that it's not persisting in new developments if that's what you're suggesting. Nairobi is a unique city in it's greenery, I'd just hate to see it ruined by unsightly buildings or poor planning. And I'm sure there are plenty of design minded people waiting to have an affect on the city.

There are bylaws addressing setbacks and easements. 7.5 Meters from the road with access. But they are not enforced or money changes hands under the table. The result is haphazard development. Total chaos.

@@williamwatitwa3534 It is equal. There is a mega 172Km Kisii-Kisumu highway project currently ongoing worth 17.5 Billion shillings. The western region has the most expensive road projects outside Nairobi currently. The western parts have the best road network outside Nairobi no doubt about it. Drive from Kericho, Kisii, Mbita, Oyugis, Kisumu, Kakamega to Eldoret & you'll realize how advance the western parts are.
