I'm a steel stud and drywall estimator for a fairly large drywall company. I see all sorts of crazy stuff on drawings. A few favorites' are: When there are too many details/blowups but there's no reason for them; when the wall/ceiling tags on the main plan don't match the tags on the blowup or elevation, floor plans split into too many segments. On smaller jobs like TI's, no elevation(height) for the deck above (e.g. they don't tell you what height your walls will be LOL); Too much supporting documentation (some projects come with several thousand pages or drawings and docs); When you get an ID set and an Architectural set, but they don't match LOL; Finish Schedule and Spec don't match; When they ask you to price from BP set, then later from IFT set, then later again from IFC set....and it's a huge project but they award to another company in the end..aagghhh LOL -My favourite is when they issue a crappy set of plans and expect us to point out all the issues/inconsistencies/errors

Yeah I feel all of that!! Haha! You can always tell when the drawings are mint its usually because they have built a few already. Being in the field you have to know what to rely on and know about shop drawings and other submittals so you can get your layout proper. For me is the worst when the finishes and /or door/ window schedules aren't there. Every time I start or price a job, a TI man I have to ask them the elevation to the deck. Cheers and thanks for the comment!
