You really are a true gardener, and your camera man is the best he has a steady hand and gets in there to show what exactly you are explaining e.g. like where the nodes are. I truly appreciated this video especially the information about how long it takes the cuttings to take root. Glad I found your channel. 💚🌴

I got the Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn going on here thanks to you, sistah! I asked Steve if he wanted room service around 11:00 a.m. You know Mr. 305 would approve of that. After 4 days of gardening, it's finished. I have a few loose ends, like do you plant Desert Rose? Sometimes I cut the bottom of the pot out to plant things. I propagated a ton of them.

Another wonderful video to get everyone ready for the spring season since we do have a couple of months where a lot of our tropicals go to sleep and our palms are covered at times to keep them warm here in Tx..looking at your beautiful yard makes me ready for it all to come back to life..l am a true Gardner more each day 🌸❤🏵❤🌸

I love loquat trees because of their evergreen nature and tropical looks! They seed themselves everywhere, and I roughly yank them up and stick them in the ground where I want them. Now have two fruiting (even after getting tops whacked off in Hurricane Idalia and beaten up again by Hurricane Helene) and a smaller one. Have also given away many to friends. To my knowledge, none have died. (Zone 9A in southern Georgia, sadly can't plant all of your beautiful tropicals here.)

Thank you so much for doing this video. There’s so much tropical plants in Florida that we find and are so easy to propagate. I think more than 90% of my garden is from propagation I always buy small and then before you know it it just grows and grows.

Curious….How much land do you have? Do you get snakes? I’m terrified of them but love the “jungle feel” of your backyard. Your landscape is stunning! Excited to get back to Florida and start gardening.

Hi Jennifer! I've been watching you for a few years but don't think I've ever commented. So here goes :) Firstly, I adore your channel! Super helpful to me, especially since I'm a novice gardener. Secondly, this is the video I've been waiting for-YAY! I'm in Miami (zone 10B...I think) and I aspire to achieve that tropical look which is why i'm glue to your channel. As for propagating, I've had luck with fire bush, plumeria (soooo easy!), cordyline & clusia- another easy plant to propagate. I container plant plumeria & clusia with good potting soil, then when I see that they've taken a firm rooting, I transfer to the ground. Of course like you say, keep the cuttings watered consistently & keep out of the scorching sun. Also, I do use rooting powder. It helps most of the time. Thanks for all your great vids! Bye!

Hey there, so happy to hear from you. Glad you’re enjoying the videos and that this one was super helpful. I haven’t tried propagating the fire bush. Thanks for that true gardener. That will be on my upcoming list.

I learned a lot. That knife looks like one I took from my kitchen, and I also used one that had a sharp point. But the people I was working around had to say something about safety. Thank you fir sharing the plants, and that cool knife.

You must be reading my mind! I have several propagation experiments on my lanai, hoping they survive our Melbourne cold snap! It is great to get more advice specific to our area. Do you think it is ok to transplant bromeliad pups from pot to ground now or is it too cold?

Excellent!! Great information! Do you find that all plants will root in water? Also, someone gave me a Brazilian Red Cloak clipping and after almost killing it by trying it in water, I planted what was left into a pot of soil. It pushed a tiny bit of growth, but stalled. That’s been 3 months ago. What did I do wrong?

True Gardner. What's the reason for letting clippings dry for a day? I'm not familiar with that.
@adrianpoe4416
@adrianpoe4416 11 күн бұрын
It lets it callous on the end. Sometimes this prevents rot. I personally (for indoor plants) cut and immediately put in rooting hormone liquid for a few hours/day and then let it callous and then plant it. IMO this is the best way, the cutting uptakes the rooting hormone and also callouses so it won’t rot - always works well for me this way.
