What about VC firm to corporate VC? Doing VC work for a large corporation. That might be a good exit?

Never worked in IB or VC. For me personally Private Equity was a great experience and allowed for even more depth in analysis than MC.

Back at it again with a great video, Kevin! 🙌🏾 You said in your video that juniors in MC and IB spend most of their time doing Excel models and PowerPoint presentations. Do companies have particular models/patterns/structures that should be followed for every single Excel model and PowerPoint presentation? From what I've understood, work can be very repetitive especially in IB. Why is that? Is it because there is a single process that is applied in every single case (like first apply this model, then do this, finally do that...)? Is it because it's always the same information that is expected in those presentations? Is it because the data and documents gathered to do those analysis are always the same in IB? Sorry if these questions seem straightforward, I'm just trying to understand! 😅

@@megalomedia Thank you for your reply Kevin! I'm studying in France so things work differently here. Basically, I've just made the decision to go for a gap year in order to give me the time to do 2 more internships (6 months duration for each of them) . This means I will graduate from my engineering school in 2022 instead of 2021. I do not come from a target school so I want to leverage the project manager intern role I've just secured at HSBC France to get another internship at HSBC but in IB this time. I hope this will help me get into the biggest consulting firms.

Startup founder here 7:20 - you can accurately gauge a startups viability if you know what your looking for (but PE investment bankers VC and management consultants don’t know what they haven’t experienced) customer stickiness, churn, Customer acquisition costs, return on ad spend huge one

Kevin, I had a specific question regarding PE. I have heard that if you don’t enter this field proper to getting an MBA, it’s nearly impossible to get in post MBA. This applies even if you do banking post MBA. Since I’m an engineer at Amazon, I basically have no shot at a good PE firm in USA, correct? Should I bother going down this path? It’s my dream and I’d do whatever it takes. Thank you and keep up the amazing content!
