Yeah that's actually where he lives. He travels that terrain looking for clues and safe places to hole up for the night. It's usually pissing down with rain and he's sat staring out the windows, casting a soft electric light across the landscape.A rare moment of calm when he can get out, stretch his legs and ponder the ever nagging question " what happened to everyone?"

I’ve found it. Part of the terraforming technology package that landed here over 200 years ago. I had heard there was some of the old tech still around. This is the front end or “command secretion” of a fusion atmospheric processor. What they used to call a ‘shake and bake’ reactor that broke down the atmosphere into its component elements as plasma the. Release the gasses you wanted and the rest into solid compounds for industrial uses. You hear the stories of those pioneers from the early days and the rough time they had but to see this really brings it home.

It bothers me that the design is impractical 😆. The machine would have to lean so hard on every step to prevent falling. Cas the feet are not underneath, way far out.
