“The Upturned” by the developer (Zeekerss) of Lethal Company uses this sort of instrument and I instantly thought of this sort of grainy flanging sound occurring in some of the tracks. I highly recommend it, it’s honestly very underrated.

Contact mics are so fun to do anything with. I just wish money was plenty to buy like 30 of them and start sticking them to a different parts of a train or a plane. Trains have such cool noises hidden below the entire noise of the whole machine.

I remember hooking up the tuning contact mic on my viola up to an amplifier, if you fix it right, you can get some nice sound, but it was such a pain to actually play with it because any shift in contact would cause a big pop in the amp
