If we talk about dangerous and deadly pandemics, it's not the question IF. It's the question WHEN. It's good that coronavirus happened, because it's comparably mild and weak virus, however, it serves as a good kick in the ass and a reminder that we should not underfund and fire people who are working on prevention of such things, like it was happening recently before covid-19, as well as neglect our hygiene. Maybe covid-19 will teach us a lesson, so when a new, much deadlier disease will appear, and it will, we will be more prepared.

The problem with people is that they don't care about hygiene, which is a huge, huge factor in disease control. During this pandemic people were STILL putting their mouths on water fountains at my local markets, forcing the staff to make the fountains unusable and off limits. Going into the bathrooms, plenty of people still don't wash their hands and go about with urine soaked fingers like it's normal.
@patricksheehan434 жыл бұрын
A lot of people dont both to take anything seriously when it comes to controlling spread either. I see tons of people in random locations going about their days like normal and not following the 6 foot social distancing. Hell before the beaches closed hundreds of people were going out for spring break getting wasted and partying. The human race is at this point just doomed to die off to some kind of disease at some point. We as a species just dont care enough to put in an effort to survive.

@@patricksheehan43 well, those who ignore the advice are doomed to die, Those who are practising good social distancing and hygiene will survive, eg. Very clean introverts
@insertname16674 жыл бұрын
@Patrick Sheehan arguably it's because diseases are too abstract for people's survival instincts to kick in, unless there's visibly horrifically diseased bodies lumbering about the concept just is not going to trigger the same response as say a dangerous wild animal showing aggression towards them. If I'm remembering correctly there's actually a few cases of this being shown with for example certain native African tribes/civilisations had no fear of the British military's firearms and charged even when people were dropping dead around them but the moment the Brits fixed bayonets is when they started to panic. Modern example would be the British troops in Afghanistan making a last stand fixing bayonets and charging out of cover after a heated skirmish with a bunch of terrorists ended up with them running out of ammo, the enemies surrendered well before they had six inch steel in their guts because that's a far more visible danger than the abstract thought of suddenly being killed by a bullet they can't even see.

For example, the incubation period of the flu is usually around 3 to 5 days after initial infection, ad for rabies its 6 weeks to 4 months! I saw this movie back in 2016 and through that time I was told that my grandpa survived the spanish flu back in Europe, yet his lungs were never ok after, It was a matter of time for this to happen again and we don`t learn from history we tend to repeat it, me? I started doing the hygine part and all since I work on delivery food here in Guatemala, so I was aware that bacteria was always a threat, still working till today with it cause you never know what will happen and I have to work to pay my debts, This movie was hard but real, like I say it was a just a matter of time for this to happened again. We always must be prepared.

Covid is exactly like the Spanish flu, both will kill via the vaccines. Don't be deceived that covid is real. It has NEVER been proved to be real. The president of Tanzania was recently murdered for exposing this giant hoax. He used the PCR to test a paw paw and a goat. Both came back positive for covid! The inventor of the test Kary Mullis said his test would not detect viruses. Look on bitchute for uncensored info.

Truly an amazing movie, as well as a sobering one. Being immunocompromised as well as having several chronic illnesses going out and coming into contact with those who are still not taking this pandemic seriously would be a death sentence. Not metaphorically speaking, not an exaggeration but truly; it would not be a question of if I would die but a question of when. I've been on complete lock down for almost 2 months now. A strict no in or out, my husband has been locked down with me just as long, he had to request permission for it otherwise we wouldn't be able to stay in the same home if he had to go out every day. It's truly frustrating to see so many people in the world and especially in the United states who are refusing to take this situation seriously. I had to go out once in these 2 months because a neccessary medication I take could not be picked up by anyone other then myself with an ID required(which we're trying to circumvent the need for me to pick it up and have permission for my husband to pick it up for me) and I had a woman who was coughing and sneezing with out covering her mouth or taking any kind of precautions standing an inch if that behind me. I had a full blown panic attack and begged her to move back and give me space. She got very angry, scoffed at me and then begin yelling in my face about being a sheep, stupid, overreacting, calling it a hoax and brought up trump. I panicked and ran out without even getting my meds. Started whipeing everything down with Clorox wipes, put the clothes I was wearing straight into the washing machine and took a shower right after. I was terrified, still am of getting sick and dying all because one woman decided that her personal beliefs are more important then my whole life.
@Cissablack7084 жыл бұрын
@心静渊智 the only problem with that is that the medication is a type which I have to pick it up in person and show a valid government ID in order for them to give it to me.
@Cissablack7084 жыл бұрын
@心静渊智 that's what I'm trying to do now, it's been incredibly difficult. It's a medication that has both pain relief as well as a medication to coat my esophagus and stomach to make it less painful for me to eat and keep my esophagus from constricting. So I guess I'll loose weight and live on medical grade protein shakes for as long as I can. We're trying to see if we can find a way to circumvent the rule of which I have to pick it up and be able to have my husband having permission to do it for me.

The only thing that this that is different between the movie and real life is that the Us government has a decent handle on things in the movie. The funding wasn't cut. Trump proposed cuts which were rejected by congress. The CDC got almost 8 billion last year. It's also the "sickest" country in raw numbers, it has greater population than most countries so obviously you need to use per capita numbers.
